Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate a levitation of a rubber and an air entrapment to easily pull out the rubber by a method wherein a kneaded rubber is calendered to a predetermined rubber thickness, attached to a cloth liner, pulled out, and vulcanized. CONSTITUTION:In a calender roll machine, a kneaded rubber 60 is successively passed through between a side roll 10 and a top roll 20, between the top roll 20 and a center roll 30, and between the center roll 30 and a bottom roll 40. Thus, the rubber is sequentially calendered in three stages to a rubber sheet 60 of a uniform thickness. This calendered rubber sheet 60 is attached to a fed cloth liner 70 between the bottom roll 40 and a rubber roll 50, pulled out, and vulcanized. With the use of the cloth liner 70 in this manner, a high adhesion is obtained between the liner 70 and the rubber 60, thus preventing an occurrence of a levitation and an air entrapment and ensuring a smooth pull-out. The cloth linder 70 substituted for release paper can be repeatedly used economically.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, rubber sheets have been manufactured by calender molding or press molding. However, when trying to obtain an ultra-thin rubber sheet, there is a problem in calendering that when the rubber sheet is pulled out from the calender roll, the rubber sheet stretches or breaks and is taken up by the roll and wound. There is a limit to the extent, and it was difficult to obtain a rubber sheet thinner than this. In order to solve this, a method of manufacturing an ultrathin rubber sheet using release paper has been proposed (Japanese Patent Publication No. 3-29575).

According to the above method, although an extremely thin rubber sheet can be obtained even by calender molding, the release paper is expensive because it cannot be used repeatedly. There was a problem. In addition, since the release paper is smooth, the adhesiveness is poor when the release paper and rubber are transferred, and floating between the release paper and the rubber sheet, air loading, and air entrapment in the rubber easily occur. Is not smooth, and problems such as winding on a roll have not been sufficiently solved.

In this way, the rubber sheet rolled to a predetermined rubber thickness is transferred between the cloth liner 70 and the rolls 40 and 50 that have been fed. As the fabric liner, a fabric using filament yarns such as nylon, polyester, rayon, acetate, and silk is used, but in particular, a fabric having a density of 180 to 220 yarns / inch by driving a yarn of nylon or polyester of 70 to 75 de is used. preferable. Further, as the cloth liner, cloths obtained by subjecting these cloths to processing such as fluorine processing and silicon resin processing so as to have releasability can be used. By using such a cloth liner, it is possible to improve the adhesiveness with the rubber during the transfer with the rubber, and to prevent the floating between the cloth liner and the rubber sheet, the air load, and the air entrapment in the rubber, and the withdrawal. It is possible to obtain an ultra-thin rubber sheet that can be easily processed and has a good finished appearance and feel. Further, unlike the release paper, the cloth can be repeatedly used and is very economical.

After transferring the rubber and the cloth liner between the roll 40 and the roll 50, the roll is pulled out and vulcanized,
An ultrathin rubber sheet can be continuously obtained. Vulcanization is
Even if it is vulcanized inline with a continuous vulcanizer such as a pin vulcanizer, which is an existing vulcanizer for pulling cloth, it is transferred to the fabric liner and wound into a sheet as it is unvulcanized. Vulcanize,
It may be carried out by a method called roll steaming vulcanization, but continuous vulcanization by a vulcanizing device for drawing cloth is effective in terms of efficiency and cost. According to the present invention, even by calender molding, 1.0
It is possible to obtain an ultra-thin rubber sheet having a size of less than or equal to mm and up to about 0.1 mm, and it is possible to continuously produce the sheet. The ultrathin rubber sheet thus obtained has an uneven pattern of cloth on the rubber surface. As a result, there is no sticking of the rubbers even after the fabric liner is peeled off, and the sheet is very easy to handle. Further, an ultra-thin rubber sheet having a good finished appearance and a good feel can be obtained. Furthermore, when the ultra-thin rubber sheet is used by adhering it to another material, the adhesiveness can be improved by the anchor effect. Further, since it is very difficult to process such a concavo-convex pattern into a rubber sheet later, the method of the present invention is very useful for obtaining an ultrathin rubber sheet having a concavo-convex pattern.

The peripheral speeds of the rollers may all be the same,
The feeding speed of the cloth liner and the drawing speed of the rubber sheet may be adjusted to these values. Up to this point, the case where the fabric liner is transferred to one side has been described, but in the same manner,
A fabric liner may be transferred on both sides. A schematic diagram of the manufacturing method in this case is shown in FIG. In this case, after being transferred between the rolls 30 and 40 with the fed fabric liner 71, it is further transferred between the rolls 40 and 50 to the non-rolled rubber surface of the fabric liner. The cloth liner 72 is transferred. The ultrathin rubber sheet obtained in this manner has uneven patterns on both sides.

In the present invention, when an ultrathin rubber sheet is obtained by calender molding, a cloth liner is used instead of a smooth release paper. Since the surface of conventional release paper is smooth, the adhesion to rubber is poor, and it is unavoidable that rolls get caught and roll around, or floating between the rubber and release paper, air loading, and air entrapment in the rubber occur. It wasn't smooth. However, in the present invention, since the cloth liner is used, the adhesion to rubber is good and all the above problems are solved. Further, since the rubber surface has an uneven pattern, a sheet having a good finished appearance and feel can be obtained, and the fabric can be repeatedly used, which is very economical.
