従来のアイアンクラブのフェース面は、すべてゴルフボールよ りも硬度の高い物質で形成されている。

中途半端な近距離のコントロールショットを、ロフトの大きな クラブ以外のクラブでフルショットできないか。

【課題を解決するための手段】
フェース面に弾性体を装着することにより、飛ばないクラブを 実現する。

【作用】
弾性体が打球時の衝突エネルギーを吸収してボールの初速を減 殺する。

【実施例】
通常の８番アイアンの打球面を削り込んで、厚さ８ミリメート ルのポリウレタンゴムをはめこんだ結果、そのクラブのフルショ ット時の飛距離は、改造前の１１０メートルから 改造後の７０ メートルに変化した。

【考案の効果】
本考案の採用で、中途半端な近距離でのゲームが楽になった。
