(Prior Art) As shown in FIG. 9, a vehicle fuel tank a having a sub-tank b built in the inner bottom surface is bent along the outer circumference of two sides of an in-tank pump c or a sub-tank b into which a fuel supply pipe is inserted. The fuel inlet / outlet pipe d is provided, one end of the pipe is opened to the bottom of the fuel tank a, and the other end is communicated with the lower portion of the sub tank b, and the fuel G is put into and out of the fuel tank a and the sub tank b. It is moved in and out by a pipe d. However, when the fuel tank a is tilted as shown in the figure along with the tilt of the vehicle on which the vehicle is mounted, and the remaining amount of the fuel G is low, only the fuel in the sub-tank b is used as the engine of fuel by the in-tank pump c or the fuel supply pipe. There is a defect that makes it impossible to replenish.

In the figure, 1 is a fuel tank main body, 2 is a sub-tank main body into which an in-tank pump 3 or a fuel supply pipe (not shown) is inserted from an upper port 2a. An upper part 13 having a narrow area is formed in a convex cross section, and a fuel inlet / outlet pipe 8 is formed as shown in FIG. 5 along almost the entire length of the wall surface on one side of the bottom portion 12, and the fuel inlet / outlet pipe is formed. 8
A fuel inlet / outlet 9 opening to the bottom of the fuel tank body 1 is provided on one side, and a communication port 10 opening to the inside is provided on the other side.

Further, on both outsides of the bottom portion 12, fuel compartments 4 and 5 communicating with the central portion of the sub-tank body 2 are provided by the fuel ports 6 and 7 provided on the wall portion shown in FIG. A communication passage 11 is provided between the five. (Both fuel compartments 4, 5 are fuel ports 6, 7
Since it is communicated with each other, the communication passage 11 can be omitted. ) 16 is a bottom plate (FIGS. 3 and 4) made of a metal plate that constitutes the bottom of the central portion of the lower portion 12 of the sub-tank body 2, and is fitted to the four circumferences of the window hole 17 provided in the lower portion 12. The bottom plate 16 is welded to the bottom surface of the fuel tank main body 1 to be incorporated therein. The side wall of the lower part 12 of the sub-tank main body 2 is composed of a separating material 13a and a separating material 12a which form a part of the upper part 13.
The flanges 14 and 15 projecting from are abutted.

(Operation) When the vehicle and the fuel tank main body 1 are substantially horizontal and the fuel filling the fuel tank main body 1 becomes lower than the upper opening of the sub tank main body 2, the fuel is filled with the fuel flowing in and out from the fuel inflow / outflow pipe 8.

Further, when the amount of fuel decreases and the fuel tank main body 1 has the inclination illustrated in FIGS. 6 and 7, the fuel liquid level G 1 relatively inclines within the tank main body 1 and the inside of the sub tank main body 2 The fuel liquid level G 2 of the above is relatively inclined at a higher level than the above liquid level G 1 . As shown in FIG. 8, when the fuel level is inclined, the conventional box-shaped sub-tank b shown by the broken line has a fuel level of G 3 , but the sub-tank body 2 of the present invention has a convex shape and a bottom. Since the height of the side portion 12 is low, the liquid volume to be put into q in the figure serves to raise the fuel liquid level in the sub tank main body 2 by ΔG, and the fuel liquid level G 2 is the fuel liquid level of the conventional sub tank b. It is higher than G 3 . In addition, the fuel tank body 1 causes various inclinations, but in any case, the liquid level G
2 to delay the lack of fuel supply to the engine.

(Effect) In the present invention, the sub-tank body 2 is integrally formed in a convex cross section with a wide area bottom 12 and an upper area 13 having a narrow area above the bottom. A fuel inlet / outlet pipe is formed along a wall surface on one side of the portion, a fuel inlet / outlet opening to the bottom of the fuel tank body is provided on one side of the fuel inlet / outlet pipe, and a communication port opening to the inside is provided on the other side. A fuel tank having the sub-tank main body into which the in-tank pump or the fuel supply pipe is inserted from the upper opening of the upper portion is built in the bottom, and the wide bottom 12 of the sub-tank main body 2 is provided on the bottom of the fuel tank main body 1. By joining and fixing, the attachment to the fuel tank body 1 can be stabilized. Further, the bottom portion 12 can increase the amount of fuel held in the bottom of the sub-tank main body 2, and in the case of the vehicle tilting, it is higher than the liquid level G 1 of the fuel tank main body and higher than the liquid level G 3 of the conventional sub-tank. A high level of the fuel liquid level G 2 can be maintained to prevent engine stalling due to interruption of fuel supply to the engine as much as possible, and the fuel inlet / outlet pipe 8 is provided in the sub tank main body 2
Since it can be provided in a long form in the lower part of the bottom area of the fuel tank, and the inlet / outlet 9 that opens to the fuel tank body 1 can be projected long, the fuel once entering the sub tank body 2 does not return to the fuel tank body 1. And so on.
