合部間に捨て板とは別体となった水密カバーを被せるこ
とにより屋根板材の後端部同士も簡単に接続することが
できるものである。しかも、水密カバー内面の少なくと
も背面及び底面には防水パッキンが設けられており、こ
の防水パッキンを被係合部の背面及び屋根板材の後端部
下面に水密的に弾接させているので、捨て板と水密カバ
ーとを別体としたにも拘わらず、捨て板と水密カバーと
の隙間から水が漏れることがないのである。また、水密
カバーの内面の防水パッキンが屋根板材の被係合部背面
から底面に掛けて弾接することにより被係合部外面と水
密カバー内面との間に空間が生じるのを防止しており、
従って、案内リブにより屋根板材と捨て板との間に間隙
が形成されるにも拘わらず、従来例のように捨て板と被
係合部との間に生じた空間を水が捨て板の幅方向へ横走
りし、捨て板の幅を越えて捨て板の外へ漏水するのを防
止できるものである。しかも断面略コ字状の水密カバー
の上片の先端から下方に向けて突設した引っ掛け片を略
ロ字状に屈曲した被係合部の前面に引っ掛けるようにし
て嵌着しているので、屋根板材の後端部同士を強固に接
続できると共に防水パッキンを被係合部に強固に弾接さ
せて確実な水密構造を確保できるものである。更に、防
水パッキンにより屋根板材の被係合部と水密カバーと捨
て板との間の気密性も良好となる。そして水密カバーは
捨て板と別体であるので、屋根板材の伸縮に追随でき、
