When applying a gel damping material instead of a rubber damping material to the end of a wire that is generally used as a supporting member of an optical system supporting device, the end of a linear wire spring is used. If the gel-like damping material is simply applied to the parts, the damping material may sag, and this may cause variations in the characteristics. Then, as a conventional example in which a gel filling and holding member is provided, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2-232824 (Reference 1) discloses the following configuration.

It is desired to further reduce the size and weight of the device. FIG. 13 and FIG.
In the case of the configuration of 4, the container-like structure is required to hold the gel-like damping material. This is a holding member,
Alternatively, when it is provided on the fixed member, the member becomes large. Further, when the damping material holding member is provided as a separate part, the number of parts increases and the optical system supporting device becomes large. Therefore, in the configuration of the conventional example, the optical system supporting device or the movable part of the device becomes large,
This hinders the reduction in size and weight of the device.

Generally, the rubber damping material is formed integrally with the support member using a mold. On the other hand, the gel-like damping material is fixed by potting the damping material on a corresponding portion of the support member and then irradiating it with ultraviolet rays or applying heat to cure it. Therefore, if it is intended to apply a gel damping material to the support member of the above example, it will be applied to the leaf spring as shown in FIG. 15, but if the damping material is applied on the leaf spring, However, the damping material may flow out to the peripheral portion of the leaf spring and spread thinly, so that the required characteristics may not be obtained. Further, Document 2 does not particularly take into consideration the distance between the protrusions of the spring portion.

極めて困難である。Further, if it is desired to use a support member that uses an inexpensive wire wire instead of the leaf spring, there is no need to provide a container-like structure as in Document 1, and the end of the spring is simply gel-like. When the damping material is applied, stable characteristics cannot be obtained because the damping material flows. In the prior art, a wire support is used as a supporting member, and a gel-like damping material is used as a damper material, so that an optical system supporting device having an appropriate configuration can be obtained in terms of control characteristics, size reduction, and weight reduction. That also
It's extremely difficult.

Along with this, the damping material 10 held as shown in FIG. 3 on the spring end 9a and the projections 9b, 9c is deformed to absorb the vibration energy. In addition, the spring 9 is twisted and deformed at the time of rolling resonance of the movable portion of the apparatus, but the deformation is enlarged by the protrusion 9c provided substantially at right angles to the extending direction of the spring 9, so that high damping is achieved against rolling resonance. The effect is obtained.

Even if it is a spring material, the damping material 10 is properly held therein, and as a result, damping is better performed. It is not necessary to provide a structure for holding the gel damping material on the holding member 4, the fixing member 8 or the like. As described above, the gap 9m between the spring end 9a and the protrusions 9b and 9c is made narrow so that the gel-like damping material does not flow out due to the surface tension. Flows a little in the direction in which the spring 9 extends, but since the wall 9p is erected on the side surface of the protrusion 9b, most of it is retained and retained here. Therefore, as discussed above, it is possible to prevent the applied damping material from flowing out to the peripheral portion of the leaf spring and spreading thinly when the damping material is applied onto the leaf spring, and thus it is difficult to obtain desired characteristics. It is also avoided. The deformation of the spring 9 is shown in FIG.
Since it concentrates in the vicinity of the spring end portion 9a, the damping material flowing in the extending direction of the spring 9 does not significantly affect the characteristics. Therefore, according to this configuration, the primary resonance and other sub-resonance of the movable portion of the device are appropriately damped, and stable control characteristics can be obtained.

In this example, as shown in the same drawing, walls 9d and 9e are further provided on the both end portions of the spring 9. By adding the wall portions 9d and 9e in this way, it is possible to regulate the flow out of the gel in the extending direction of the spring 9 when the gel damping material is applied, and a better effect can be obtained. Also in this example, similarly to the above example, by providing a holding portion for the damping material 10 in the vicinity of the end of the spring 9 which is a supporting member, the member for holding the damping material is enlarged or a special member is added. It is possible to dispose the damping material on the support member without needing to do so, and therefore it is possible to realize an optical system support device that is small and lightweight and has excellent control characteristics.
The optical pickup can be reduced in size and weight, which leads to reduction in size and performance of the optical information recording / reproducing device.

To suppress unnecessary resonance of the movable part of the device. Also in this embodiment using the wire-shaped spring material, the holding member 4 and the fixing member 8 do not have the conventional container-like structure for holding the gel-like damping material as shown in FIGS. It is understood that the optical system supporting device is small and lightweight, and according to the configuration of this embodiment, the optical system supporting device is realized by combining the wire and the gel damping material as the supporting member. According to this embodiment, similarly, a holding member or a fixing member for holding the damping material can be enlarged, or a gel-like damping material can be provided without adding a special member, so that stable control characteristics can be obtained. In addition, the size and weight of the optical system supporting device and the movable part of the device can be reduced, and since the spring material made of wire is used, the cost can be reduced.

A part of the beam-like portion 39h is cut out, and a slit is provided in the end portion main body portion 39n. Further, as shown in FIG. 12, by bending a part of the leaf spring itself near the end of the spring,
The holding portions for the damping material indicated by the reference numeral 39j are formed, and the portions 39j and the end portions 39g of the beam-shaped portions are formed.
The gel-shaped damping material 10 is surrounded by the box by the
To fill. As a result, the gel damping material 10 is surrounded by the bent portion of the spring 39 and the like in almost five directions including the end body portion 39n. Therefore, when filling the damping material, for example, if the gel damping material is applied with the arrow A direction in FIG. 12 facing upward, the gel damping material is prevented from flowing out, and the gel damping material is made uniform in thickness. The damping material 10 can be appropriately arranged on the spring 39 side of the two-piece type. Spring 39
Also, a fixing hole 18 is formed in the end body portion 39n. In this embodiment, the fixing projections 4b and 8b of the holding member 4 and the fixing member 8 are aligned with each other so that the holding member 4 and the fixing member 8 are bonded and fixed.

The holding member 4 and the fixing member 8 do not have a conventional container-like structure for holding the gel-like damping material. Also with the configuration of the present embodiment as described above, it is possible to provide the damping member without enlarging the holding member 4 and the fixing member 8 or adding a special member. Therefore, stable control characteristics can be obtained, and the optical system supporting device and the movable part of the device can be made smaller and lighter.
Since the book spring is integrally formed, it is possible to further reduce the number of parts and the number of working steps in this respect as well.
