BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Insect repellents are available in the form of aerosols, lotions, creams, napkins, etc., which are used by direct application or sticking to the skin surface [Yoshikatsu Sayama, Fragrance Journal NO. 71, P88
(1985)]. Among the above-mentioned dosage forms, the aerosol type is very convenient because it can easily apply the chemical liquid to a wide range without soiling the hands.

However, since the aerosol type sprays a drug, it is difficult to control the application range of the drug,
There is a problem that the clothes are scattered to the part that does not need to be applied and the clothes are contaminated. Furthermore, there is a possibility that the drug may cause inflammation when it enters a hypersensitive site such as the mucous membrane of the eye, or may cause respiratory system disorders due to the drug inhaled by respiration.

In order to solve the problem of such drug scattering, an aerosol agent capable of spraying the drug in a mousse shape has been proposed (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2-264703). However, since the range that can be applied by one injection becomes extremely narrow, it is necessary to once take the drug on the palm and spread it on the application site, which causes problems such as soiling the hands and fingers. Further, since the aerosol agent container is equipped with a spraying mechanism for spraying the drug in a mist or mousse shape, there is a problem that the container becomes large and it is inconvenient to carry.

If ethanol is used as a solvent for the above-mentioned chemicals, the drying property after application can be improved, but if the amount of ethanol increases, damage to the skin and the risk of flammability occur, so water is added. Further, if the amount of water is large, it takes time to dry, so 60% by weight or less is preferable.

[Evaluation of Insect Repellent] With respect to the insect repellents obtained in the above Examples and Comparative Examples, 20 adults evaluated the feeling of use and the contamination at the time of use. (1) Feeling of use After opening the sealed insect repellent, and applying the drug by wiping with a hand on the upper arm, the feeler is evaluated organoleptically according to the following evaluation criteria ~ Table 1 shows the number of respondents to (for multiple answers). The face was also evaluated by the same method, and the results are shown in Table 2. <Evaluation Criteria> The required amount could be freely applied to the required site. The amount of drug was small and the drug was faint. There was a large amount of drug, and there was drug leakage during use. The drug was attached to the area other than the required area. The aerosol of Comparative Example 1 was not directly sprayed onto the face but was once received by the palm and applied to the face.

(2) Contamination at the time of use The sealed insect repellent was opened, and the drug was applied by wiping the upper arm with a hand. Then, after thoroughly washing the used hand with 15 ml of a 40 wt% ethanol aqueous solution, the methanol aqueous solution is recovered to quantify the drug amount,
The relative value of the drug amount (the remaining amount of the drug of the insect repellent of Example 1 was 10
