If the shoji screen b is fully opened as shown in FIG. 6, it is possible to wipe the outer surface of the glass from the inside of the room by reaching out between the upper and lower shoji screens, but the top shoji screen is the window frame a. Since it is impossible to reach from the gap between them, it is necessary to rotate the hand from the lower side of the shoji to the outer side of the glass to clean it, and the work is difficult, and the upper part of the glass cannot be reached and wiping is sufficient. There are many things that cannot be done.

[Operation] When cleaning, by opening the shoji screen fully and removing the screw on the attachment part of the top shoji screen, the top shoji screen can be slid downward along the long hole of the hinge. As a result, a space is formed between the upper frame of the window frame and the upper frame, and by using this space, the outer surface of the uppermost glass of the shoji screen can be wiped clean from the indoor side. Since the second and subsequent shoji screens can be wiped from the indoor side as usual, it is possible to wipe and clean them all from the indoor side.

In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1 denotes an arm bracket fixed to a vertical frame 2a of a window frame 2, which is an elongated hole 1a extending in the vertical direction and a curved elongated hole whose lower end portion is inclined downward toward the front side of the window frame. 1b
Are formed. Reference numeral 3 is an arm, and rivets 3a and 3b are provided on the lower end of the arm 3 to project the long hole 1 of the arm bracket 1.
It engages with a and 1b respectively, and the upper end is pivotally supported by the hinge 4 by the shaft 3c. In the hinge 4, a long hole 4a for sliding is formed in a substantially central portion, a curved locking portion 4b is formed at an upper end thereof, and a rivet 4c is further provided at a lower portion of the hinge 4. The projection 4 is provided with a mounting portion 4d for fixing the shoji screen on the top. The hinge 4 has its tip end pivotally supported by a shaft 4e on a connecting rod 5 provided in the vertical frame 2a of the window frame 2, and the mounting portion 4d is provided with the uppermost shoji 6 as shown in FIG. The upper frame 6a is fixed by a set screw 7 via a mounting piece 6b. The shoji 6 is provided with a rivet 6d for engagement on a side surface of a vertical frame 6c, and a guide hole 6e is formed below the rivet 6d. The rivet 6d is slidably engaged with the long hole 4a of the hinge 4. In addition, the rivet 4c of the hinge 4 is slidably engaged with the guide hole 6e while being engaged with the curved engaging portion 4b. A second shoji 8 and a third shoji 9 are rotatably attached to the window frame 2 via hinges as in the conventional case.

When cleaning the outer surface of the glass of the shoji screen, when the shoji screen is fully opened and the setscrew 7 is removed, the top shoji screen 6 becomes free with respect to the hinge 4.
The rivet by moving it up a little along the hinge 4.
6d is disengaged from the engaging curved portion 4b of the long hole 4a, and when the shoji 6 is pushed slightly forward, the rivet 6d slides along the long hole 4a, and the shoji 6 slides downward as shown in FIG. To be made.
When sliding the shoji 6, the rivet 4c of the hinge 4 slides along the guide hole 6e of the shoji 6, and when the rivet 6d of the shoji 6 comes into contact with the lower end edge of the long hole 4a, the guide hole 6e. Of the sliding door 6 is abutted against the upper edge of the sliding door 6, so that the sliding door 6 is stopped at the same time and stably held at that position.

In this way, when the uppermost shoji 6 is slid downward, a gap 10 is formed between the upper frame 6a and the upper frame 2b of the window frame 2 so that the arm can be inserted therein. As shown in the figure, the arm can be pulled out from the indoor side and the outer surface of the glass of the shoji screen 6 can be wiped clean. The second and third shoji,
9 can be easily wiped and cleaned from the inside of the room as usual. Therefore, the outer surface of the glass of each shoji can be easily wiped and cleaned from the indoor side.
