2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, an incandescent lamp has been regarded as one of the best light sources because of its light color, color rendering property and easy handling. However, the drawbacks such as low efficiency, short life, and high surface temperature have not been improved for many years. Even in the incandescent lamp of the tungsten filament which is mainly used at present, the light in the visible region that human eyes perceive is about 10%, and most of it is emitted as infrared light, which is very inefficient. It is a system.

In order to improve the luminous efficiency even a little, the filament temperature must be raised to the maximum,
Therefore, the life of the filament is shortened in inverse proportion to the efficiency. Although a halogen lamp or the like has improved the efficiency to some extent, it has not been a decisive improvement, and other drawbacks such as a high color temperature cannot be improved.

In recent studies, it has been reported that the cavity quantum electrodynamic theory is applied to improve the efficiency of lamp filaments. For example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 3-1027
In the publication No. 01, the bottom has a square of 350 nm and the depth is 700.
Providing a large number of minute holes or cavities with a prismatic shape of about 0 nm significantly reduces the radiation in the wavelength region of 700 nm or more, and can satisfactorily emit only visible light. As a result, the luminous efficiency is significantly increased. It is said that it can be improved to.
That is, the input power to the filament is less likely to be converted into radiation in the infrared region, that is, heat, and most of the input energy is used as visible light, which can be a very efficient light emitter.

That is, dimensional conditions such as the cross-sectional shape and depth of the fine holes and the thickness of the partition wall that separates the adjacent fine holes are directly related to the wavelength of the light emitted from the filament, and the luminous efficiency is greatly influenced. However, for example, 3
It is impossible to find a manufacturing method capable of accurately and efficiently processing a 50 nm square fine hole vertically with a depth of 7 μm and also applicable to industrial scale production.

[0007] Usually, when performing such fine processing, a processing method applying a photolithography technique which has been widely used conventionally can be considered. However, the most advanced mask technology,
Even with the use of exposure technology, it is extremely difficult to machine the ultra-fine holes described above, and in order to be able to actually process the holes, it will be necessary to improve the technology and develop the technology, and it will take time. It is expected to be. Even if the processing becomes possible, it is not practical if the cost is high, the processing time is long, or only a very small area can be dealt with.

As for the base metal, any metal can be used as a base material as long as an oxide film can be formed on its surface by an anodizing method and fine holes of a desired size are formed in the film. Available. Specifically, aluminum, titanium, zinc and the like are preferable materials. When these metals are immersed in an acidic solution and subjected to anodic polarization, an oxide film having cylindrical fine holes perpendicular to the metal surface is formed. The pore size and depth of the anodized film differ depending on the applied potential at the time of anodization, the type of oxidizing solution, the treatment time, and the like. Therefore, it is desirable to determine the treatment conditions of the anodizing step in accordance with the intended use and required performance of the metal body. Specifically, under normal manufacturing conditions, fine holes having a cross-sectional diameter of about 100 to 500 nm and a depth of about 1 to 7 μm are formed. In addition, the thickness of the partition wall that separates adjacent fine holes is 20 to 200 nm.
Something is formed.

In this way, with respect to the base metal on which the anodized film having the fine holes is formed, the metal is embedded in the fine holes to form a metal layer to be a replica. The material of the replica metal layer may be any material as long as it is a metal that can be surely embedded even in the fine holes of the anodic oxide film, and the filling method can also be electroless plating, electrolytic plating, CVD method, PVD. The method and other film forming means can be applied. For example, when a replica is formed by electroless plating, a material such as nickel, copper, iron or the like can be used. The thickness of the replica metal layer is sufficient if the shape from the bottom of the fine hole to the surface can be reliably transferred and the strength is sufficient to withstand the subsequent steps.

After the replica metal layer is formed, the base metal and the anodized film are removed. As a means for removing this, the sample may be immersed in a solution in which the base metal and the anodized film are dissolved but the replica metal layer is not dissolved. For example, when the base metal is aluminum and nickel is used as the replica metal, an alkali solution can be used to selectively dissolve and remove aluminum as the base metal and aluminum oxide that is a component of the anodized film. Therefore, when selecting the materials of the base metal and the replica metal, it is preferable to select a combination that can selectively remove such a base metal and its anodized film.

On the surface of the replica metal layer left after the base metal and the anodic oxide film are removed, an uneven shape corresponding to the fine holes of the anodic oxide film is formed. In particular,
The shape is such that a large number of pole-shaped projections are lined up on the surface of the replica metal layer. That is, the fine holes in the anodized film are transferred to the surface of the replica metal layer. Next, a target metal body is formed on the replica metal surface on which the uneven shape is formed. The material of the metal body is generally a refractory metal such as tungsten, molybdenum, or an alloy mainly containing these metals as a light-emitting body for a lamp, but in the present invention, any material can be used as the material of the metal body. A metal material can be used. As a means for forming a target metal body on the replica surface, an appropriate method is selected from ordinary film forming means such as CVD, PVD, or wet plating according to the target metal material and required performance. You can apply. It is desirable to select a material or forming means that accurately penetrates into the inside according to the uneven shape of the replica metal.

After the desired metal body is formed on the surface of the replica metal layer, it is necessary to remove only the replica metal. The replica metal may be removed by immersing in a solution that selectively dissolves only the replica metal layer and does not dissolve the target metal, as in the method of removing the base metal.
Specifically, when the replica metal is nickel and the target metal is tungsten, only nickel can be dissolved and removed with an acidic solution.

On the surface of the metal body made of the target metal left after the replica metal layer has been removed, the concave and convex shapes of the replica metal layer, that is, the fine holes having exactly the same shape as the fine hole shapes of the anodized film are formed. Will be there. In other words, the fine holes formed in the anodic oxide film are directly transferred to the surface of the target metal body. The metal body from which the replica metal has been removed can be used as it is for the intended purpose. However, by joining this metal body to another component or subjecting the metal body to another treatment, It is of course possible to manufacture the product.

The above-mentioned luminous body for a lamp or a filament is preferable as a use of the metal body having the fine holes, but it can also be used for various products having the same problems as the luminous body for a lamp. is there. The size and shape of the fine holes formed in the metal body are variously set according to each application. Especially in the case of lamp light emitters,
The wavelength distribution of the emitted light changes depending on the diameter of the micro holes, so for normal lighting that requires visible light, the wavelength is 700 nm.
The size of the microholes is set so as to eliminate the radiation in the infrared region above. However, depending on the application of the lamp, it may be necessary to radiate in the infrared region or a wavelength region that is shorter than visible light, and the size and shape of the microholes should be set according to each case. do it.

When an anodic oxide film is formed on the surface of a metal such as aluminum, many vertical cylindrical fine holes are formed on the surface of this anodic oxide film. The shape of the fine holes is a uniform fine hole in which the ratio of the depth of the hole to the cross-sectional diameter, that is, the aspect ratio is very large and the sizes are relatively uniform. In this method, since individual holes are not processed or a photolithography technique is not used, it is possible to manufacture a product having a very large area with a target micro hole very easily and efficiently. By appropriately setting the conditions for forming the anodized film, it becomes possible to form uniform fine holes having a high aspect ratio, which cannot be realized by conventional processing techniques.

If the fine holes formed on the surface of the anodic oxide film are transferred to the metal to be the replica in the above-mentioned step and further transferred from the replica metal layer to the target metal body, the target metal body is obtained. Micropores having the same shape as the micropores in the anodic oxide film and a high aspect ratio and a uniform size will be formed on the surface of. The transfer process from the anodized film to the replica metal layer, or the transfer process from the replica metal layer to the target metal is either a conventional transfer technique or a mold making that has been conventionally adopted as a method for manufacturing various metal products. Since the technology can be applied, the work is simple and the work efficiency is high, so cost reduction can be expected.
It can also be applied to large area products.

FIG. 3 (b) shows the results of measuring the relationship between the emitted wavelength and the emission intensity, using the metal body manufactured as described above as a light emitter (filament) for a lamp. For comparison, the same measurement was performed on a conventional filament made of normal tungsten. According to the measurement results, the conventional filament has a much higher emission intensity in the other wavelength region, that is, in the infrared region than the emission intensity of the radiated light (700 nm or less) in the visible region. On the other hand, in the embodiment of the present invention, the longer the wavelength is 700 nm, the higher the emission intensity is, and the portion of 700 nm or less that is useful as visible light shows almost the same tendency as the conventional example, but the wavelength is When it exceeds 700 nm, the emission intensity sharply decreases, and it is confirmed that the emission in the long wavelength region is suppressed.
