In particular, fine particle titanium oxide powder having a maximum particle size of 0.1 μm or less and an average particle size of 5 to 50 μm has a remarkable effect of blocking ultraviolet rays, and thus various studies have recently been added for use as sunscreen cosmetics. However, such fine particle titanium oxide has a large surface energy, and when a cosmetic product is produced using this, it is difficult to uniformly disperse it during production, and it tends to form an aggregate during storage. Furthermore, for example, when such fine particle titanium oxide is blended in a cake-like foundation by using water, there is a serious defect as a cosmetic such that the cosmetic is not uniformly applied to the skin during use and the finish is very poor. .

The resulting composition is excellent in finish when applied to the skin, and is excellent in appearance when applied to makeup and sunscreen effect.

カオリンを得る。DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The titanium oxide-coated kaolin blended in the cosmetic composition of the present invention is prepared by adding a predetermined amount of kaolin particles (particle diameter of about 0.5 to 30 μm) to an appropriate titanium salt, and adding the kaolin particles in the presence of kaolin. It can be obtained by hydrolyzing a titanium salt, then filtering, washing and drying by a conventional method, and then firing. To give a concrete example of the method for producing such titanium oxide-coated kaolin, kaolin 1 having an average particle size of 2 μ is added to an aqueous solution 1 of 15 g / (Tio 2 equivalent) titanyl sulfate.
Add 35 g, heat with stirring, boil and hold for 2 hours. The product is filtered, washed with water, the cake obtained is separated and dried at 110 ° C. Further, calcination is performed at about 800 ° C. for 30 minutes to obtain the titanium oxide-coated kaolin used in the present invention.

It can be blended into cosmetics in a far wider range of amounts, and an excellent UV blocking effect can be obtained, and it exhibits favorable properties as a cosmetic.

When the coating amount is less than 1%, the ultraviolet ray blocking effect is not sufficient, while when it exceeds 50%, various properties as a cosmetic material are deteriorated. The amount of the titanium oxide-coated kaolin with respect to the entire composition may be appropriately changed within the range of 90% or less depending on the form of the cosmetic.
