管路系に用いられる膨張空洞型消音器には、図5に示す単一型の消音器1と、 図6に示す多重型の消音器1′とがあることは良く知られている。いずれの膨張 空洞型消音器においても音波減衰量は周期関数であり、有効に減衰が得られる周 波数帯はその形状即ち入口管2の面積S1 、消音器1の断面積、消音器1の長さ Lと、周波数及び音速によって定まるものであり、図7に示す減衰特性を有する 。 また、この膨張空洞型消音器では、内部に吸音材を取り付け、減衰特性を向上 させることも一般的に実施されている。 然し乍ら、これらの膨張空洞型消音器は、音波減衰量が十分とは言えず空調系 統の吸気系に用いた場合、インダクトノイズをあまり減少できないでいる。また 内燃機関の排気系を用いた場合、吸音率が低い為消音効果が不十分である。 この為、消音器スペースを拡大したり、部材を増加して構造を変更したりする ことが行われているが、期待した程の効果が得られていないのが現状である。( 先行技術文献として実開昭62−10221号公報がある。)It is well known that there are a single-type silencer 1 shown in FIG. 5 and a multiple-type silencer 1'shown in FIG. 6 as the expansion cavity type silencers used in the pipeline system. 本考案の消音器の一実施例を図によって説明する。図1に示すように多重膨張 空洞型消音器5の一端面中央に入口管6、他端面中央に出口管7が設けられ、内 部に截頭円錐筒形状になした隔壁8が設けられ、その隔壁8の中心に連通管9が 隔壁8の長さよりも長く設けられている。截頭円錐筒形状の隔壁8と連通管9と 消音器5の胴体10とによって形成された前後の楔形断面に、図2及び図3に示 すように夫々吸音材11が張設されている。 このように構成された実施例の消音器は、スペースを拡大せずに、また部材を 増加して構造を変更せずに、吸音面積が増加し、且つ隔壁8での音波反射回数が 増加し、吸音材11による吸音率が高くなる。従って消音器の消音性能が向上す る。 An embodiment of the silencer of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
