When there is a failure, there has been a problem in that hot water supply of extremely high temperature is continued for a considerable time before the thermal fuse and the bimetal switch of the safety device are activated. Further, in such a case, for example, when a resin pipe such as a polyethylene pipe is used for the pipe member, there is a great concern that the resin pipe may be damaged by the high temperature water and cause a serious accident.

As a result, the amount of water passing through the heat exchanger 3 is reduced, and even if the amount of water falls below the minimum working water amount, the water amount detection unit 7 cannot detect it, and the burner 6 continues to burn, resulting in heat generation. It left a dangerous problem that the inside of the exchanger was further overheated.

る。<Operation> During normal hot water supply, water enters the heat exchanger through the water inlet pipe, is heated to a predetermined temperature, and is supplied from the hot water outlet pipe as it is through the mixer at abnormally high temperatures. If the hot water discharged from the heat exchanger becomes abnormally high due to a malfunction in the control unit or other reasons,
When the temperature is abnormally high, the mixer operates to mix water with hot water from the hot water through the branch water pipe. This alleviates the temperature and eliminates the risk of damage to the hot water supply pipe, burns, and the like. Especially by branching the branch water pipe from the upstream side of the water amount detection sensor,
By flowing water to the branch water pipe side at an abnormally high temperature, the amount of water passing through the water amount detection sensor can be made less than the minimum operating water amount, and combustion of the burner can be stopped.

The circuit for preventing abnormally high temperature hot water supply is completed. Normally, the hot water that has entered the chambers A on both sides from the hot water outlet pipe 12 passes through the central chamber B as it is and flows out to the hot water supply pipe 30. At this time, the water from the branch water pipe 19 enters the other chamber C, but since the communication port 26 to the central chamber B is closed by the water stop valve 28 urged by the spring 27, the central chamber B is closed. Can not enter, and therefore cannot be mixed with water. On the other hand, when the hot water from the heat exchanger 10 reaches an abnormally high temperature, the operating rod 24a of the heat-sensing part 24 reacted by the abnormally hot water entering the chamber A causes the water shutoff valve 28 of the chamber C to spring 27.
It is pushed against and opens the communication port 26 to the chamber B. As a result, the water from the branch water pipe 19 passes through the chamber C and enters the chamber B,
Mixed water is made.

Having a connection port 21 for connecting with and a connection port 22 for connecting with the branch water pipe 19,
It is composed of a single cylindrical body having a connection port 23 with the hot water supply pipe 30 in the vicinity of the center, and has three chambers A, B and C in the case. Room A is a room for receiving hot water from the hot water outlet pipe 12, and a wax thermosensitive portion 24 is supported inside by a support 25 and is arranged at a position facing the hot water from the connection port 21. The room B is a room between the rooms A and C on both sides and is a room for sending hot water to the hot water supply pipe 30.
The chamber C is a chamber that receives water from the branch water pipe 19, and the communication port 26 to the chamber B is a water shutoff valve in which a spring 27 is urged.

It is said that it does not expand. Therefore, in normal times, that is, when the hot water supply device is operating normally, the hot water from the hot water outlet pipe 12 enters the room A, further enters the room B, and then flows out to the hot water supply pipe 30. During this time, no water is introduced from the branch water pipe 19 into the room B through the room C.

Open the water shutoff valve 28 against 27. As a result, the water from the branch water pipe 19 flows into the room B, and the mixed water flows into the hot water supply pipe 30. That is, the temperature is relaxed, and heat damage and burns of hot water supply pipe 30 are prevented. Further, by branching the water to the branch water pipe 19, when the amount of water passing through the water amount detection sensor 14 becomes less than the minimum operating water amount of the device, the combustion of the burner 13 is stopped, so that further abnormal high temperature water Hot water is prevented. Whether or not the amount of water passing through the water amount detection sensor 14 is less than the minimum working water amount is determined by the total amount of incoming water and the amount of water flowing into the branch water pipe, and the amount of water flowing into the branch water pipe 19 is the size of the branch water pipe 19 and the stop valve 28. It depends on the openness of. Therefore, the burner 13 combustion can be stopped under conditions according to the degree of abnormally high temperature and the total amount of water entering, by adjusting and configuring those relationships in advance.
