Description of the Related Art In the field of silver halide photographic light-sensitive materials, a method of forming an image by a diffusion transfer method is widely used, and its usefulness is widely recognized as its first feature being the immediacy of image formation. It is a method. Among these image formation methods by the diffusion transfer method, in the method of forming a color image, it is general to employ a so-called subtractive color method in which a color image is formed using a combination of dye-donating compounds of yellow, magenta and cyan. Target. Among these methods, the color diffusion transfer photographic method using an azo dye image-forming compound gives a better azo dye having a diffusivity different from that of the image-forming compound as a result of development under basic conditions. Are known.

That is, if the transferability of the transfer dye is increased in order to shorten the transfer time (the time required to complete the image), the sharpness is lowered and the image storability such as the blurring of the image over time is reduced. Prone to
The solution of this problem has been studied in the past. Further, one of the problems relating to the transferability was the pH dependency of the transferability of the dye. The dye is transferred under alkaline conditions where the development of a silver halide salt is usually performed. And after a certain time,
A neutralization reaction occurs, and the transferability of the dye is significantly reduced. At this time, the transfer property of the dye, which has a large pH dependency, is greatly reduced at the initial stage of neutralization, and the dye cannot reach the image receiving layer and stays there. When the amount of the staying dye is large, the staying dye after the image formation is gradually transferred to increase the image density. This so-called post-transcription problem is
There was a particular problem in reducing the neutralization time, and a solution was desired. Furthermore, the dyes used in diffusion transfer photography are
Performances similar to those of other image forming methods are required. For example, it has a favorable hue as the three subtractive primary colors, has a large molecular extinction coefficient of the dye, has a high image density, has high fastness to light, heat, air, moisture, and chemicals, Easy and low cost. Further, it is required that the image forming compound has excellent storage stability in the light-sensitive material.

れる。In the present invention, various known methods can be used for adding the dye image-forming compound to the hydrophilic colloid layer. Usually, it can be added by an oil-in-water dispersion method known as an oil protect method.
That is, it is a method in which a dye image-forming compound is dissolved in a high-boiling point organic solvent such as a phosphoric acid ester or a phthalic acid ester and a low-boiling point auxiliary solvent, and then dispersed in a gelatin aqueous solution containing a surfactant. Alternatively, an oil-in-water dispersion may be prepared by adding water or an aqueous gelatin solution to a solution of a dye image-forming compound containing a surfactant and causing phase inversion. In order to remove the low boiling point organic solvent from the resulting dispersion, it is also preferable to use a method such as distillation, noodle washing, or ultrafiltration. As a dispersion medium of such a dye image-forming compound, a high boiling point organic solvent having a dielectric constant of 2 to 20 (25 ° C.) and a refractive index of 1.4 to 1.7 and / or US Pat. No. 4,857,449. The water-insoluble polymer compounds described in columns 7 to 15 and pages 12 to 30 of WO88 / 00723 are preferably used. In the present invention, the weight ratio of the dispersion medium to the dye image forming compound is preferably 0.1 to 10, more preferably 0.
It is 3 to 3. Next, the color diffusion transfer method of the present invention will be described. A typical form of the film unit used in the color diffusion transfer method is that an image receiving element and a photosensitive element are laminated on one transparent support, and the photosensitive element is peeled from the image receiving element after the completion of the transferred image. It is an unnecessary form.
More specifically, the image-receiving element comprises at least one mordant layer, and in a preferred embodiment of the light-sensitive element, a combination of a blue-sensitive emulsion layer, a green-sensitive emulsion layer and a red-sensitive emulsion layer,
Or a combination of a green-sensitive emulsion layer, a red-sensitive emulsion layer and an infrared light-sensitive emulsion layer, or a combination of a blue-sensitive emulsion layer, a red-sensitive emulsion layer and an infrared-light sensitive emulsion layer, and a yellow color in each of the above emulsion layers. A dye-donor substance, a magenta dye-donor substance, and a cyan dye-donor substance are combined to form a combination (here, the "infrared light-sensitive emulsion layer" is 700 nm or more, particularly 74 nm or more).
An emulsion layer sensitive to light of 0 nm or more). A white reflective layer containing a solid pigment such as titanium oxide is provided between the mordant layer and the photosensitive layer or the dye-donating substance-containing layer so that the transferred image can be viewed through the transparent support.

Silver flakes, silicates, alumina, zirconium oxide, sodium zirconium sulfate, kaolin, mica, titanium dioxide and the like are used. Further, non-film-forming polymer particles made of styrene or the like are also used. Further, these may be used alone or may be mixed and used within a range capable of obtaining a desired reflectance. A particularly useful white pigment is titanium dioxide. The whiteness of the white reflective layer is
Although it depends on the type of pigment, the mixing ratio of the pigment and the binder, and the coating amount of the pigment, the light reflectance is preferably 70% or more. Generally, the greater the amount of pigment applied, the better the whiteness, but as the imaging dye diffuses through this layer, the pigment resists the diffusion of the dye,
It is desirable to have an appropriate coating amount. Titanium dioxide 5
A white reflective layer having a light reflectance of 78 to 85% with light having a wavelength of 540 nm is preferred, which is applied to -40 g / m 2 , preferably 10 to 25 g / m 2 . Titanium dioxide can be selected from various commercially available brands and used. Among these, it is particularly preferable to use rutile type titanium dioxide. Most of the commercially available products are surface-treated with alumina, silica, zinc oxide or the like. (1) Dye image-forming substance Is the dye image-forming substance other than the general formula (I) used in the present invention a non-diffusible compound that releases a diffusible dye (may be a dye precursor) in association with the silver phenomenon? , Or the diffusivity of itself changes, and "Theory of the Photographic Process"
It is described in the 4th edition. All of these compounds can be represented by the following general formula (A). Formula (A) (Dye-X) q -Y {Dye represents a dye group, a temporarily shortened dye group or a dye precursor group, X represents a mere bond or a linking group, and Y represents an image form. Corresponding to or opposite to the photosensitive silver salt having a latent image, a difference in the diffusivity of the compound represented by (Dye-X) q- Y is produced, or Dye is released and the released Dye is released. And (Dye-X) q- Y represent a group having a property of causing a difference in diffusibility, q represents 1 or 2, and when q is 2, two Dye-X are the same. But it can be different. } According to the function of Y, it is roughly classified into a negative type compound which becomes diffusive in a silver developed area and a positive type compound which becomes diffusible in an undeveloped area. Specific examples of the negative type Y include those which are oxidized and cleaved to release a diffusible dye as a result of development. Specific examples of Y include U.S. Pat. Nos. 3,928,312, 3,993,638, 4,076,529, 4,152,153, 4,055,428 and 4,053. , 312, 4,198,235, 4,179,291, 4,149,892, 3,844,785, 3,443,943, 3,751,406. d. Engl.), 22, 191 (1982). Specific examples thereof include compounds (dye developers) that are initially diffusible under alkaline conditions, but are oxidized by development to become non-diffusible. Representative examples of Y effective for this type of compound are those described in US Pat. No. 2,983,606. Further, as another type, a diffusible dye is released by self-ring closure under an alkaline condition, but the dye is substantially not released when oxidized by development. Y with such a function

A photosensitive layer consisting of at least two layers with an image-forming substance is used. The emulsion and the dye image-forming substance may be coated as separate layers,
Alternatively, they may be mixed and coated as a single layer. When the dye image-forming substance is coated and has absorption in the spectral sensitivity region of the emulsion combined with it, another layer is preferable. The emulsion layer may be composed of a plurality of emulsion layers having different sensitivities, and an arbitrary layer may be provided between the emulsion layer and the dye image-forming substance layer. For example, a layer containing a nucleation development accelerator described in JP-A-60-173541, JP-B-60-1
The partition layer described in No. 5267 can be provided to increase the color image density, and a reflective layer can be provided to increase the sensitivity of the photosensitive element. The reflective layer is a layer containing a white pigment and a hydrophilic binder, preferably the white pigment is titanium oxide and the hydrophilic binder is gelatin. The amount of titanium oxide applied is 0.1 g / m 2 to 8 g / m 2 , preferably 0.1.
It is a 2g / m 2 ~4g / m 2 . Examples of the reflective layer are described in JP-A-60-91354. In a preferable multilayer structure, a combination unit of blue-sensitive emulsion, a combination unit of green-sensitive emulsion and a combination unit of red-sensitive emulsion are sequentially arranged from the exposure side. An arbitrary layer can be provided between each emulsion layer unit as needed. In order to prevent the unfavorable influence of the development effect of one emulsion layer on other emulsion layer units,
It is preferable to install an intermediate layer. When the developer is used in combination with a non-diffusible dye image-forming substance, the intermediate layer preferably contains a non-diffusible reducing agent in order to prevent diffusion of the oxidized product of the developer. Specific examples thereof include non-diffusible hydroquinone, sulfonamide phenol, sulfonamide naphthol, and the like, and more specifically, JP-A-50-2.

Accordingly, it may have a multi-layered structure including layers such as a neutralization rate adjusting layer (timing layer) and an adhesion enhancing layer. A preferred acidic substance is a substance containing an acidic group having a pKa of 9 or less (or a precursor group which gives such an acidic group by hydrolysis), more preferably oleic acid described in US Pat. No. 2,983,606. Higher fatty acids such as US Pat. No. 3,362,819
Polymers of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid or maleic acid and their partial esters or anhydrides as disclosed in US Pat. No. 2,290,699; acrylic acid and acrylic acid as disclosed in French Patent 2,290,699 Ester isotopes;
No. 4,139,383 or Research Disclosure No. 16102 (19
Mention may be made of latex-type acidic polymers as disclosed in 77). Others, US Patent 4,08
No. 8,493, JP-A Nos. 52-153739 and 53-
No. 1023, No. 53-4540, No. 53-4541
The acidic substances disclosed in JP-A No. 53-4542 and the like can also be mentioned. Specific examples of acidic polymers include ethylene,
Examples thereof include copolymers of vinyl monomers such as vinyl acetate and vinyl methyl ether with maleic anhydride, and n-butyl esters thereof, copolymers of butyl acrylate and acrylic acid, cellulose, and acetate-hydrogenphthalate. The polymer acid can be used as a mixture with a hydrophilic polymer. As such a polymer,
Examples include polyacrylamide, polymethylpyrrolidone, polyvinyl alcohol (including partially saponified products), carboxymethyl cellulose, hydroxymethyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose, polymethyl vinyl ether and the like. Of these, polyvinyl alcohol is preferable. Further, the polymer acid is a polymer other than a hydrophilic polymer,
For example, cellulose acetate or the like may be mixed. The coating amount of the polymer acid is adjusted by the amount of alkali spread on the photosensitive element. The equivalent ratio of polymer acid and alkali per unit area is preferably 0.9 to 2.0. If the amount of the polymer acid is too small, the hue of the transfer dye is changed or stains are generated on the white background portion, and if it is too large, the hue is changed or the light resistance is deteriorated. A more preferable equivalent ratio is 1.0 to 1.3. If too much or too little hydrophilic polymer is mixed, the quality of the photograph will be degraded. The weight ratio of hydrophilic polymer to polymeric acid is 0.1 to 10, preferably 0.3 to 3.0. Additives can be incorporated into the layer having a neutralizing function of the present invention for various purposes. For example, hardening agents well known to those skilled in the art for hardening this layer, and polyhydric hydroxyl compounds such as polyethylene glycol, polypropylene glycol, glycerin, etc. for improving the brittleness of the film can be added. In addition, if necessary, an antioxidant, a fluorescent brightening agent, a development inhibitor and a precursor thereof may be added. Timing layers used in combination with the neutralization layer include polymers that reduce alkali permeability such as gelatin, polyvinyl alcohol, partially acetalized polyvinyl alcohol, cellulose acetate, partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl acetate, and the like; A latex polymer produced by copolymerizing a small amount of a hydrophilic comonomer such as an acrylic acid monomer to increase the activation energy of alkali permeation; a polymer having a lactone ring is useful. Among them, JP-A-54-136328,

Alkaline Processing Composition The processing composition used in the present invention is uniformly spread on the photosensitive element after exposure of the photosensitive element and placed on the back surface of the support or on the side opposite to the processing liquid of the photosensitive layer. It forms a pair with a light-shielding layer to completely shield the photosensitive layer from external light, and at the same time, develops the photosensitive layer with the components contained therein. Therefore, in the composition, an alkali, a thickener, a light-shielding agent, a developing agent, a development accelerator for controlling the development, a development inhibitor, and an antioxidant for preventing the deterioration of the developing agent. Contains etc. A sunscreen is always included in the composition. Alkali is sufficient to adjust the pH of the liquid to 12 to 14, and alkali metal hydroxides (eg sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, lithium hydroxide), alkali metal phosphates (eg potassium phosphate). Examples thereof include guanidines and quaternary amine hydroxides (eg, tetramethylammonium hydroxide), but potassium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide are preferred. The thickener is necessary for uniformly developing the processing liquid and for maintaining the close contact between the photosensitive layer and the cover sheet. For example, an alkali metal salt of polyvinyl alcohol, hydroxyethyl cellulose or carboxymethyl cellulose is used, and preferably hydroxyethyl cellulose or sodium carboxymethyl cellulose is used. As the light-shielding agent, any dye or pigment, or a combination thereof, can be used as long as it does not diffuse to the dye image-receiving layer to generate stain. Carbon black is a typical example. As the preferred developing agent, any developing agent can be used as long as it cross-oxidizes the dye image-forming substance and does not substantially cause stain when oxidized. Such developing agents may be used alone or in combination of two or more, and may be used in a precursor type. These developers may be included in the appropriate layers of the light sensitive element or in the alkaline processing liquid. Specific examples of the compound include aminophenols and pyrazolidinones. Of these, pyrazolidinones are particularly preferable because they generate less stain. For example, 1-phenyl-3-pyrazolidinone, 1-p-tolyl-4,4-dihydroxymethyl-3
-Pyrazolidinone, 1- (3'-methyl-phenyl)-
4-methyl-4-hydroxymethyl-3-pyrazolidinone, 1-phenyl-4-methyl-4-hydroxymethyl-3-pyrazolidinone, 1-p-tolyl-4-methyl-
4-hydroxymethyl-3-pyrazolidinone, and the like. JP-A-62-215272 7 for either photosensitive sheet, cover sheet or alkaline processing composition

Fluorine-containing compounds described on page 222, thickeners described on pages 225 to 227, antistatic agents described on pages 227 to 230, 230
The polymer latex described on page 239 to the matting agent described on page 240 may be included. Further, it is desirable that these alkaline liquid compositions are transferred onto a photosensitive material with a developed thickness (processing liquid amount per m 2 after transferring the processing liquid) of 20 μm to 200 μm. The processing temperature when processing a photosensitive material containing the compound of the general formula (I) is preferably 0 to 50 ° C.,
0-40 degreeC is more preferable.
