【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、病院や老人ホーム、家
庭において口に含んで口内や喉をすすぐ用に使ううがい
薬に関し、詳しくはＭＲＳＡ（メチシリン耐性黄色ブド
ウ球菌）、耐性結核菌等耐性菌対策に有効なうがい薬に
関する。

【従来の技術】一般にうがいは、飲料水を用いたり、医
薬品や薬草使用の水薬を用いたり、日本茶を用いたりし
て行っている。しかし、いずれの方法にも一長一短があ
って、必ずしも満足（殊に耐性菌対策には）できるもの
ではなかった。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】本発明は、極めて満足
度の高い新規のうがい薬を提供することを目的とするも

【作用】本発明に係わるうがい薬の主成分であるヒノキ
チオールの抗菌性は、たとえば下記表１に示す通りであ
り、日本化学療法学会寒天平板希釈法において、耐性菌
の２種、真生菌の４種に対して同様の陰性を得ることが
できた。

【０００７】尚、ヒノキチオール（Ｃ10Ｈ12Ｏ2 ）は、
食品添加物として、厚生省食品衛生法において１９８９
年に認可されている通り安全性が極めて高いものであ

飽和７員環構造の母核を含む化合物であり、また青森ヒ
バやタイワンひの木類の樹木の中に含まれているトロポ

効果のすばらしい抗菌力を有するものである。

【発明の効果】本発明に係わるうがい薬は、ヒノキチオ
ールを水溶液体に溶かしたものであるので、上記作用に
おいて述べたように抗菌性が陰性で医学細菌の発育阻止
や殺菌効果のすばらしい抗菌力を有するものであって、
ＭＲＳＡ等耐性菌対策、その他菌の殺菌対策に極めて有
効であり、また食品添加物にも使用できるように安全で
あり、所期の目的を充分に達成する著効を奏するもので
ある。
