This illuminating device is mounted by being embedded through a through hole 2 opened in a ceiling wall 1. The apparatus is provided with an instrument case 3, and the case 3 is fitted into the through hole 2 so that a part of the case 3 projects to the back of the ceiling. The instrument case 3 has an opening 4 at the lower end, and a peripheral edge portion 5 of the opening 4 is attached to the peripheral edge portion of the through hole 2 of the ceiling wall 1 by being abutted against the peripheral edge portion 5. A support piece 6 is provided on the bottom surface of the upper wall of the instrument case 3, and a reflector 7 is attached by screwing an attachment 7 into the support piece 6. This reflecting plate 8 includes a first reflecting portion 8a and a second reflecting portion.
8b is formed in a curved cross-sectional shape, and the first reflecting portion 8a extends downward from the fixture 7 so as to be substantially concentric with the lamp 9 and extends downward from the opening 4 of the instrument case 3. Also sticks out downwards. The second
The reflecting portion 8b has a gentle curved surface extending from the position of the fixture 7 toward the peripheral portion of the opening 4. A panel 10 is provided in an opening 8c formed at the lower end of the reflection plate 8. This panel 10 is a front grill 1 having a dogleg-shaped cross section, which is attached through the attachment pieces 11 and 12 of the instrument case 3.
It is provided on the upper surface of 3. The through hole 13a of the grill 13 and the opening 8c of the reflecting plate 8 substantially correspond to each other. As shown in FIG. 5, the illumination device is not designed so that the light from the lamp 9 is emitted only toward the indoor direction, which is the direct downward direction, while cutting glare in the direct downward direction, Rather, the side wall 14 on the vertical surface adjacent to the ceiling wall 1 is mainly irradiated. Therefore, the lower end of the first reflector 8a is extended to a position directly below the lamp 9.

It was supposed to pass between the line b connecting to and. Since the direct light is radiated to the indoor side through the space between a and b, the side wall 14
Not only the direct light with high brightness is applied to the lower part 14b below the edge part 14a, but also the light after being reflected by the reflector 8 is applied. When the lamp 9 has a high arc brightness like a metal halide lamp which has been widely used in recent years, the surface of the lower portion 14b becomes very bright, while the surface of the front portion 14a is exclusively bright. Reflected light c
Since it was only irradiated, it became very dark, which caused uneven brightness between the two and a boundary line was formed, which was not preferable. Further, in a general lamp, sodium gas or the like is accumulated in the lower space, and due to this accumulation, the light emitted downward from the lamp 9 becomes yellowish within the range of the angle x in FIG. However, according to the illuminating device, a part of the yellowish light is reflected by the reflecting plate 8 so that it is radiated in a concentrated manner only on the surface of the front portion 14a, so that the side wall 14 is ceiling. There was the inconvenience that only the edges turned yellow and the whole became uneven in color. Although the panel 10 is slanted and the lamp 9 side is lowered, there is a difference in the intensity of direct light between a portion directly below the lamp 9 and a portion other than the lamp 9, which causes a considerable temperature difference. Was the cause of the cracking of. The lamp 9
Sometimes has a navel 15 in the middle of its longitudinal direction.
Since it comes to the low temperature side, there is a characteristic that color temperature and lamp life vary. Conventionally, the upper part of the outer periphery of the lamp 9 is set to the high temperature side and the bottom part is set to the low temperature side. Therefore, in order to suppress the variation, the navel 15 is always directed upward as shown in FIG. It was necessary to install. Therefore, the mounting direction of the lamp 9 is limited, which is not preferable.

In the panel, the temperature distribution becomes uniform, and in the lamp, the temperature also becomes high in the lower part due to the other reflection plate.

Therefore, it is possible to prevent the heating of the sealing portion by properly cooling the sealing portion of the lamp, which is likely to generate heat and become high in temperature, by the convection of air.

This is because it becomes difficult to perform cooling, and the heat reflected on the back side of the other reflection plate further heats the sealing portion.

The reflector 40 has an arcuate cross-sectional shape, and both ends in the circumferential direction of the reflector 40 are thin mounting wire rods so that both ends thereof protrude from the reflector 40.
41,41 are passed through. Each wire 41 is attached so that the locking portions 41a at both ends are locked in the holes of the side plate 37, whereby the auxiliary reflection plate 40 becomes concentric with the outer periphery of the lamp 29 at distant positions. Are arranged as follows. This reflector
One side in the circumferential direction of 40 is on a line b'connecting the lamp center O'and the lower part of the front end of the second reflector 28b, and the other side is the center O'of the lamp and the first reflector. Of the light from the lamp 29, which is located on the line a'connecting the lower end of the rear part of 28a and which does not go to the reflector 40, it is reflected toward the reflector 40 and is not emitted as direct light. Is configured. The other side of the auxiliary reflector 40 is arranged so as to extend to the range of the angle x so as to reflect all the yellow light emitted from the lamp 29 at the angle x.
Along with this, the lower end of the first reflecting portion 28a is also arranged to be on one side of the angular range x. The auxiliary reflection plate 40 does not extend over the entire length between the side plates 37, 37, but air from below cools the sealing portions 29a, 29a by convection through the reflection plate 40 and the side plates 37. It is formed as short as possible.

Therefore, all the direct light from the lamp is once reflected by the other reflection plate and is diffused to be diffused and emitted. As a result, glare in the downward direction disappears, and the softened reflected light is emitted. Moreover, since the reflected light is radiated to the entire side wall evenly over the entire side wall in a dispersed state, a constant luminous flux is secured even at the front portion, and uneven illuminance is eliminated. Furthermore, since the yellow light emitted from the lamp is totally reflected by the other reflection plate and then dispersed and irradiated, it is not concentrated on only the front portion as in the conventional case, and as a result, white light and yellow light are emitted. The light and the light are effectively fused so that color unevenness does not occur. In the panel, the dispersed light from the other reflection plate passes, the temperature distribution is made uniform, and the panel is prevented from cracking. Since the temperature of the lower part of the lamp also rises due to the other reflectors, there is no variation in color temperature or lamp life even if the navel 42 is directed downwards, and the orientation of the lamp does not have to be facing upwards. Can be attached to
This facilitates the lamp mounting work and prevents the lamp characteristics from changing even if the navel is mounted downward. The yellow light is dispersed toward the lower part of the side wall as shown in c'of FIG. If the auxiliary reflection plate is long so as to extend between the both side plates, cooling convection from below is blocked, and heat from light from the lamp easily acts on the sealing portion from the auxiliary reflection plate through the side plates. As in the above-mentioned embodiment, when the auxiliary reflection plate is formed to be short to promote convection, heat transfer to the sealing portion is blocked and the lamp life is extended.
