Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease wearing in a power supply part and to improve the durability by forming a heat generating layer on a heating roller, forming electrode layers on both ends of the heating roller and supplying electric power through a conductive grease and electrode layers to the heat generating layer. CONSTITUTION:The cylindrical heating roller 7 is produced by mixing a conductive metal powder in a ceramic material such as silicon carbide and forming into a pipe to form a heat generating layer 6. A backup roller 8 is disposed facing the roller 7. Electrode layers 9, 9 electrically connected to the heat generating layer 6 are formed by thermal spraying of aluminum on both ends of the heating roller 7.
