That is, a powdery ceramic dielectric material is mixed with a resin binder and a solvent, and this is molded into a sheet by a doctor blade method or the like to form a ceramic green sheet. Next, this ceramic green sheet is cut into a predetermined size, and a paste for internal electrodes is applied to the surface by screen printing or the like to print and form a conductor pattern of a predetermined size. Then, a predetermined number of ceramic green sheets on which the internal electrodes are printed are laminated and thermocompression-bonded to form an integrated ceramic laminate.
This ceramic laminated body is cut into a certain size to form a chip. After firing this chip, an external electrode is provided on the exposed surface of the end of the internal electrode. In this way, a chip type monolithic ceramic capacitor is formed.

Moreover, high reliability is desired. In order to make the monolithic ceramic capacitor small and large in capacity, it is necessary to thin the ceramic green sheet and increase the number of laminated layers.

It will be. The voids A are accumulated and become larger as the number of stacked layers increases. The presence of such voids A causes structural defects such as delamination (delamination) and cracks in the laminate. This leads to a decrease in withstand voltage and the like in the obtained monolithic ceramic capacitor, resulting in a decrease in reliability.

As a result, in the obtained monolithic ceramic capacitor, a short circuit failure or a decrease in dielectric breakdown voltage is caused.

In the case of a ceramic green sheet of 0 μm, when the internal electrode having a thickness of 5 μm after drying is applied, the number of laminated layers is 50.
It has been confirmed that delamination does not occur even in layers. However, in the ceramic green sheet having a thickness of 15 μm, it has been found that delamination is observed in almost all layers when the number of laminated layers is 30 or more. Further, it has been found that the occurrence rate of short circuit failure is overwhelmingly increased when a sheet having a thickness of 15 μm is used.

Therefore, it is difficult to increase the capacity. Note that such a problem is common not only to the monolithic ceramic capacitor but also to all monolithic ceramic parts such as a monolithic ceramic varistor.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for manufacturing a multilayer ceramic component that prevents the occurrence of short circuit defects and breakdown voltage defects without the electrode paste entering. The second purpose is that the internal electrodes are provided on the ceramic green sheet so as not to generate irregularities on the surface, so that structural defects such as delamination do not occur and the reliability is high. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method capable of manufacturing a small-sized and large-capacity laminated ceramic component. Further, a third object is to provide a method for manufacturing a monolithic ceramic component which can be easily manufactured industrially.

That is, since a conductor pattern to be an internal electrode is formed by printing on the second support film separately from the ceramic green sheet, and the hot-roller is used to press-bond the conductor pattern to the ceramic green sheet to form a joining sheet. The conductor pattern digs into the ceramic green sheet, and the surface of the joined sheet becomes smooth. Further, even if there is a pinhole or a recess in the ceramic green sheet due to this pressure bonding, the electrode paste does not enter this part. Therefore, even if the thickness of the ceramic green sheet becomes thin, it is possible to prevent the occurrence of a short circuit defect and a breakdown voltage defect.

The cut product was held and moved by a vacuum chuck provided on the cutting / conveying head 8. This moving direction was the direction of the dummy sheet 10 on which electrodes were not printed, which was prepared in advance, and was laminated on this dummy sheet 10. At the time of stacking, as shown in FIG. 7, the internal electrode was displaced from the internal electrode under the stack by a certain size. This is 180 for each layer when laminated.
It was carried out by rotating it once and stacking it (lamination step).
After repeating the above process to stack a predetermined number of sheets, as shown in FIG. 8, the dummy sheet 10 is overlaid on the obtained stack and thermocompression-bonded by the hot press 9, and the whole is integrated, as shown in FIG. A ceramic laminate having a number of internal electrodes as shown was formed (thermocompression step). After that, cutting and firing were performed by a known method to form a ceramic chip, and an external electrode was provided on the exposed surface of the end portion of the internal electrode to manufacture a monolithic ceramic capacitor.

The internal electrode sheet consisting of is formed by printing on the surface of the second support film 3. Then, when the internal electrode paste is dried and the internal electrode 4 is formed, the ceramic green sheet 2 and the internal electrode 4 are formed by thermocompression bonding the first and second support films with the support films 1 and 3 as outer sides. Are joined. At this time, in the bonding sheet, the internal electrodes 4 bite into the ceramic green sheet 2, and the surface thereof is smooth. Even if the ceramic green sheet 2 has a defective portion such as a pinhole or a recess due to the thermocompression bonding, the electrode paste does not enter the defective portion. This makes it possible to reduce the thickness of the ceramic green sheet and easily cause defective parts such as pinholes and dents.
It is possible to prevent the occurrence of a short circuit defect, a breakdown voltage defect, and a decrease in dielectric breakdown voltage due to this defective portion.

It is possible to form a laminated body that does not occur. As a result, it is possible to obtain a highly reliable multilayer ceramic capacitor that does not cause structural defects such as delamination.

Further, since the cutting / conveying head cuts and conveys the bonding sheet 7 and rotates 180 [deg.] For each sheet to stack the sheets, the conductor patterns of the laminated body are displaced from each other. This means that one end of the internal electrode can be exposed alternately when the chip is formed by cutting. Thus, in this embodiment, cutting / cutting from the sheet forming / printing forming step is performed.
The manufacturing apparatus can be automated up to the lamination step, and the manufacturing method of the monolithic ceramic capacitor is industrially highly practical.

Has a smooth surface, and even if laminated, a gap due to the electrode thickness does not occur, and even if there is a pinhole or a recess in the ceramic green sheet, the electrode paste will not penetrate into this portion. Therefore, it is possible to provide a method for manufacturing a monolithic ceramic component in which the occurrence of a short circuit defect or a withstand voltage defect is prevented even if the thickness of the ceramic green sheet is reduced.
