Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a refrigerator having good property of transportation by a method wherein recessed handles for transportation, formed integrally with an electrical equipment box, are provided at both sides of the electrical equipment box, attached to the back surface of an outer casing and receiving electronic parts and electrical parts. CONSTITUTION:The main body 10 of a refrigerator is constituted of an inner casing, an outer casing 12, an electrical parts box 13, having recessed shape toward the inner casing and positioned at the back surface of the outer casing 12, and heat insulating material, filled into a space between the inner casing and the outer casing 12. Electrical parts and electronic parts, which control the operation of the refrigerator, are fixed to the electrical parts box 13. Transporting handles 13a are formed so as to have recessed grips formed integrally with both sides of the electrical parts box 13 while the central part of the transporting handles 13a is bored with a hole 13b to utilize it as a grip. A lid body 16 blockades the electrical parts box 13. In such a construction, a transporter inserts his fingers into the hole 13b of the handle 13a and can grip the handle 13a whereby a problem of feeling unstable feeling upon transportation can be resolved.

A refrigerator comprising an electric component box for accommodating electric / electronic components attached to the back surface of an outer casing, and convex transporting handles integrally formed on both sides of the electric component box. 2. The refrigerator according to claim 1, wherein a groove portion into which a heat insulating material is inserted is provided on the back surface of the carrying handle.
