<Prior art> As is well known, a roofing material for a thatched roof of a building has a lower bent portion that bends downward at the front edge of a plate portion that is long in the lateral direction, and at the rear edge of the plate portion. An upper bent portion that bends upward is formed, and a base member is attached to the lower surface of the plate portion. And, the conventional horizontal thatch roof is fitted with the upper bending part of the roofing material located on the eaves side and the lower bending part of the roofing material located on the ridge side to raise it, and the lower surface of the roofing material and the rafters or purlins. A base member is interposed between the base and the base.

<Problems to be solved by the invention> However, in the conventional thatched roof, the upper end of the upper bent portion of the roof material on the eaves side supports the lower surface of the front edge of the plate portion of the roof material on the ridge side. Therefore, the base member does not exist in the goby portion where the lower bent portion and the upper bent portion are fitted together. In addition, since the conventional horizontal thatched roof supports the snow load and the load by the worker at one point of the goby, the strength against the load especially from above is insufficient, the goby is crushed and the appearance is bad and the roof material is rolled up. I may climb.

Furthermore, in buildings, generally negative pressure is generated on the leeward roof surface,
Due to this negative pressure and the elasticity of the roof material itself, the roof material causes pulsation with the goby portion as a node, and the dropper action due to this pulsation sucks the water stopped at the goby portion into the attic and causes water leakage.

Even if a negative pressure is generated on the leeward roof surface during strong wind, the roof material 5 does not pulsate because the substantial wall thickness of the roof material 5 is increased. It does not suck in the rainwater that has stopped on the part, so the rain is good. Then, even if dew condensation water is generated on the lower surface of the plate portion 2, this dew condensation water flows down between the plate portion 2 and the hard base member 6 to the front edge 6a of the base member 6, and the front edge of the base member 6 The roof material located at the eaves side flows from the 6a through the front hanging portion 7 and flows into the inside of the lower bending portion 3, flows in the inside of the lower bending portion 3 in the length direction of the roof material 5, and flows down from the edge. 5 is drained from the upper surface of the roof material 5 or is drained from the upper bent portion 4 of the roof material 5 located on the eaves side by flowing down from the edge of the roof material 5 to the upper surface of the roof material 5, so that the condensed water is the same as the conventional one. There is no possibility that the base material 6 falls from a portion where the base material 6 does not exist to corrode the base material 22 or stain the ceiling. Further, in the roofing material 5 for thatching of the present invention, since the base member 6 is superposed on the entire surface of the plate portion 2, the sound insulating effect is high, and the sound of rain and wind is sufficiently shielded to keep the room quiet. is there.

Therefore, in particular, since the stepped portion of the lower bent portion is received by the stepped portion of the upper bent portion, the connection strength between the upper bent portion and the lower bent portion of the upper and lower roofing materials remarkably increases, and snow is accumulated on the connected portion. This connection will not be crushed or damaged even if a large load is applied by a worker. Even if a negative pressure is generated on the leeward roof surface during strong winds, the substantial wall thickness of the roof material does not cause pulsation in the roof material, and rainwater is not sucked in by the dropper action due to pulsation. The rain is good. Even if condensed water is generated on the lower surface of the plate portion, this condensed water flows down from between the plate portion and the hard base member to the front edge of the base member and is transmitted from the front edge of the base member to the front hanging portion. Flow into the inside of the lower bent portion, flow laterally inside the lower bent portion, and drain from the surface of the roofing material on the eaves side. It does not run down to corrode the base or stain the ceiling. Further, in the present invention, since the hard base member is superposed on the substantially entire surface of the plate portion, the sound insulation effect such as rain noise and wind noise is high.
