の固定用孔を別途形成する必要があるため、この固定用
孔の形成分だけ多くの平面積を占めることになる。した
がって、この考案を多極コネクタに採用しても平面にお
ける小型化を図ることは難しいし、固定用孔の穿孔によ
り回路基盤のプリント部の複雑さが増すといった諸問題
点がある。

成されたものであり、ハウジングの側壁部の肉厚を利用
し、この側壁部にコネクタピンの固定部を形成すること
によって、コネクタ全体の高さを低く押さえることがで
きるとゝもに、ピン固定部における固定強度も満足でき
るものを提供するのが目的であり、その要旨は、垂直な
ピン本体部とこのピン本体部のほゞ中央から水平に突出
した連結部を介して上方へ起立した係止用突起を有する
ピン固定部とからなるコネクタピンと、底壁部とその側
端縁に立設した側壁部とからなるハウジングとから構成
され、コネクタピンの前記ピン本体部をハウジングの前
記底壁部に貫設したピン挿入孔に挿入するととゝもに、
前記ピン固定部をハウジングの前記側壁部にその下面か
ら穿設したピン固定孔に押入して、該ピン固定部に形成
した前記係止用突起を前記ピン固定孔の周壁に係止せし
めて固定したことを特徴とする多極コネクタにある。

底壁部に貫設したピン挿入孔に挿入するととゝもに、前
記ピン固定部をハウジングの前記側壁部にその下面から
穿設したピン固定孔に押入して、該ピン固定部に形成し
た前記係止用突起を前記ピン固定孔の周壁に係止せしめ
て固定した構成であるから、(1)コネクタピンのハウ
ジングに対する固定が強固となる。(2)この種多極コ
ネクタにおいて通常具備する側壁部を有効に利用するも
のであるから、底壁部の面積は従来のものと同じでよ
く、しかもその板厚は薄くて済むため、コネクタの小型
化が可能となる。(3)ピン固定孔の深さは側壁部に沿
って任意に穿設することが出来るため、雌コネクタの装
脱時にコネクタピンに作用する力の大きさに応じて自在
に設定でき、利用範囲が拡大する、といった諸効果があ
る。
