Abstract
Description
Claims (14)
- 1.ポリイソブチルヒドロキシ芳香族化合物の製造方法において、ヒドロキシ芳 香族化合物を酸性アルキル化触媒の存在下で、約300〜5,000の範囲内の 数平均分子量を有し、少なくとも約70%のメチルビニリデン異性体を含むポリ イソブテンによってアルキル化することを含む前記方法。
- 2.ヒドロキシ芳香族化合物がフェノールである請求項1記載の方法。
- 3.ポリイソブテンが約400〜3,000の数平均分子量を有する請求項1記 載の方法。
- 4.ポリイソブテンが約500〜2,000の数平均分子量を有する請求項3記 載の方法。
- 5.酸性アルキル化触媒がルイス酸、トリフルオロメタンスルホン酸及び酸性モ レキュラーシ−ブから成る群から選択される請求項1記載の方法。
- 6.酸性アルキル化触媒がルイス酸である請求項5記載の方法。
- 7.ルイス酸が三フッ化ホウ素又は三フッ化ホウ素錯体である請求項6記載の方 法。
- 8.酸性アルキル化触媒がトリフルオロメタンスルホン酸である請求項5記載の 方法。
- 9.アルキル化温度が約0℃〜100℃の範囲内である請求項1記載の方法。
- 10.アルキル化濃度が約20℃〜60℃の範囲内である請求項9記載の方法。
- 11.ヒドロキシ芳香族化合物対ポリイソブテンのモル比が約1.2:1から5 :1までである請求項1記載の方法。
- 12.ヒドロキシ芳香族化合物対ポリイソブテンのモル比が約2:1から3:1 までである請求項11記載の方法。
- 13.ポリイソブテン1当量あたりの触媒の当量数が約0.005:1から5: 1までである請求項1記載の方法。
- 14.ポリイソブテン1当量あたりの触媒の当量数が約0.05:1から0.6 :1までである請求項13記載の方法。
