Abstract
Description
Claims (14)
- 1.約−25℃以下のガラス転移温度を有する少なくとも1種の軟質アクリル酸 アルキル又はアルキルビネート単量体と0℃以上のガラス転移温度を有する少な くとも1種の硬質単量体とを乳化重合させることによって本来的に粘着性の感圧 接着性重合体を形成させる方法であって、該重合体を少なくとも2個のアクリレ ート又はメタクリレート基とシアヌレート又はホスフェート官能基を有する少な くとも1種の反応性多官能性単量体の存在下に形成させることからなり、しかも 該多官能性単量体を単量体について約0.1〜約1重量%の量で存在させること を特徴とする本来的に粘着性の感圧接着性重合体の形成方法。
- 2.請求項1記載の乳化重合により形成される本来的に粘着性の感圧接着性重合 体であって、この重合体が、重合した単量体基準で、 (a)アルキル基中に約4〜約12個の炭素原子を含有する少なくとも1種のア クリル酸アルキル(存在するアクリル酸アルキルの総量は単量体について約35 〜約95重量%であるものとする)、 (b)下記の単量体 (i)ビニルエステルであってそのエステルのアルキル基中に2〜約16個の炭 素原子を含有するもの、(ii)ジカルボン酸のジエステルであってその各アル キル基がそれぞれ約4〜約12佃の炭素原子を含有するもの、 (iii)約3〜約5個の炭素原子を含有する不飽和カルボン酸、及び (iv)メタクリル酸アルキルであってそのアルキル基中に1〜約8個の炭素原 子を含有するもののうちから選択される少なくとも1種の単量体、及び(c)少 なくとも2個のアクリレート又はメタクリレート基とシアヌレート又はホスフェ ート官能基を有する少なくとも1種の反応性多官能性単量体(多官能性単量体は 単量体について約0.1〜約1重量%の量で存在させるものとする) を含むことを特徴とする本来的に粘着性の感圧接着性重合体。
- 3.請求項1又は2記載の乳化重台により形成される本来的に粘着性の感圧接着 性重合体であって、この重合体が、重合した単量体基準で且つ単量体の総重量を 基にして、 (a)アルキル基中に約4〜約12個の炭素原子を含有する少なくとも1種のア クリル酸アルキル(存在するアクリル酸アルキルの総量は単量体について約35 〜約95重量%であるものとする)、 (b)少なくとも1種のビニルエステルであってそのエステルのアルキル基中に 2〜約16個の炭素原子を含有するもの0〜約35重量%(単量体について)、 (c)ジカルボン酸のジエステルであってそのジエステルの各アルキル基がそれ ぞれ約8〜約12個の炭素原子を含有するもの5〜約30重量%(単量体につい て)、(d)約3〜約5個の炭素原子を含有する少なくとも1種の不飽和カルボ ン酸約10重量%までの量(単量体について)、 (e)メタクリル酸アルキルであってそのアルキル基中に1〜約8個の炭素原子 を含有するもの(単量体について0〜約10重量%の量で存在するものとする) 、及び (f)少なくとも2個のアクリレート又はメタクリレート基とシアヌレート又は ホスフェート官能基を有する少なくとも1種の反応性多官能性単量体(存在する 多官能性単量体の総量は単量体について約0.1〜約1重量%であるものとする ) を含み、しかも該重合体が反応性界面活性剤の存在下に形成されたものであるこ とを特徴とする本来的に粘着性の感圧接着性重合体。
- 4.アクリル酸アルキルがアクリル酸2−エチルヘキシルとアクリル酸ブチルと の混合物である請求項2又は3のいずれかに記載の感圧接着性重合体。
- 5.ビニルエステルが単量体の総重量を基にして約20〜約25重量%の総量で 存在する請求項2〜4のいずれかに記載の感圧接着性重合体。
- 6.ジカルボン酸のジエステルがマレイン酸ジ−2−エチルヘキシル、フマル酸 ジ−2−エチルヘキシル及びその混合物よりなる群から選択される請求項2〜5 のいずれかに記載の感圧接着性重合体。
- 7.不飽和カルホン酸が総単量体について約2〜約5重量%の量で存在する請求 項2〜6のいずれかに記載の感圧接着性重合体。
- 8.不飽和ジカルボン酸がアクリル酸、メタクリル酸及びその混合物よりなる群 から選択される請求項2〜7のいずれかに記載の感圧接着性重合体。
- 9.反応性界面活性剤がビニルスルホン酸ナトリウム及びスチレンスルホン酸ナ トリウムよりなる群から選択され、そして単量体の総重量を基にして0.4重量 %までの量で存在する請求項3〜8のいずれかに記載の感圧接着性重合体。
- 10.反応性界面活性剤が総単量体について0.1〜約0.25重量%の量で存 在する請求項9記載の感圧接着性重合体。
- 11.反応性多官能性単量体がトリス(2−ヒドロキシエチル)イソシアヌレー トトリアクリレート、ビス(メタクリルオキシエチル)ホスフェート及びその混 合物よりなる群から選択される請求項2〜10のいずれかに記載の感圧接着性重 合体。
- 12.重合体が連鎖移動剤の存在下に形成される請求項2〜11のいずれかに記 載の感圧接着性重合体。
- 13.連鎖移動剤がn−ドデシルメルカプタンである請求項12記載の感圧接着 性重合体。
- 14.連鎖移動剤が単量体について約0.025重量%の量で存在する請求項1 2又は13のいずれかに記載の感圧接着性重合体。
