In the case of this compressor, back pressure acting on the back surface of the tip seal 23, that is, the side of the tip seal 23 opposite to the bottom surface 25 causes the tip seal 23 to move to the bottom surface 25.
Pressed against. Then, the tip seal 23 and the bottom surface 25
Since the and are in sliding contact without lubrication oil, the tip seal 2
3 wears. This wear amount depends on the temperature of the tip seal 23 and the pressing force on the bottom surface 25 acting on the tip seal 23. The higher the temperature, the higher the pressing force, the greater the wear amount, the the lower the temperature, the lower the pressing force, the less the wear amount. . That is, the wear amount of the tip seal 23 is larger in the central portion of the spiral tooth 21 and smaller in the peripheral portion of the tooth 21. Therefore, in this compressor, the tip seal 23 is divided into two, and the central portion 23A has a large height and the peripheral portion 23B has a small height.

In the above-mentioned conventional device,
Since the central portion 23A of the tip seal 23 is formed thick, the life of the tip seal 23 is extended by the thicker portion, but the amount of wear at the central portion 23A under high temperature and high pressing force is the same, and The life of the tip seal 23 is limited. That is, when the amount of wear of the tip seal 23 exceeds a certain limit, the tip seal 23 is inserted through the gap on the back side,
Gas leakage from the central portion of the tip seal 23 to the suction portion becomes severe, resulting in a decrease in the performance of the compressor, particularly the amount of suction gas, and thus there is a problem that the tip seal 23 needs to be replaced in a short cycle. The present invention has been made to solve the above conventional problems, and an object thereof is to provide an oil-free scroll compressor capable of extending the life of the tip seal without degrading the performance of the compressor. It is a thing.

The tip seal 9 is composed of two parts, a central part 9A and a peripheral part 9B. The central part 9A shown in black in FIG. 2 is fixed in the end surface groove 5 by using, for example, an adhesive. The peripheral portion 9B of the tip seal 9 shown in white is not fixed in the end surface groove 5 but merely fitted and inserted. Further, the width of the peripheral portion 9B is smaller than the width of the end surface groove 5, and the height thereof is smaller than the distance between the bottom surface of the end surface groove 5 and the bottom surfaces 7 and 8 of the tooth groove 6 facing the end surface groove 5, A space is created on the back surface side of the peripheral portion 9B, and back pressure is generated on the peripheral portion 9B. In addition, in FIGS.
And only the bottom 7 is shown, but the tooth 1 and the bottom 8
The same applies to the part (the same applies below).

At the center portion 9A of the tip seal 9 having a high temperature and a high pressing force, at the beginning of the use of the tip seal 9, the bottom surface 7, 8 of the facing tooth groove 6 of the scroll is slidably contacted and worn. However, when it is worn to some extent, the central portion 9A is fixed, so that it does not come into sliding contact, and further wear is eliminated. On the other hand, as a result of the central portion 9A not slidingly contacting the bottom surfaces 7 and 8, the gaps between the end surfaces of the teeth 1 and 3 and the bottom surfaces 7 and 8 are not completely sealed by the central portion 9A, and the high pressure side is changed to the low pressure side. Some gas leakage will occur.

The peripheral portion 9B of the tip seal 9 having a low temperature and a low pressing force is in a floating state in the end surface groove 5,
As a result of back pressure acting on the space on the back side, the peripheral portion 9B is pressed against the bottom surfaces 7 and 8, and the gap between the end surfaces of the teeth 1 and 3 and the bottom surfaces 7 and 8 is sealed by the peripheral portion 9B. The peripheral portion 9B is worn because it is in sliding contact with the bottom surfaces 7 and 8. But,
Since the peripheral portion 9B is under low temperature and low pressing force,
The amount of wear is small. Further, as described above, the central portion 9A
In, the gas leaks from the low pressure side to the high pressure side, but the gas leakage to the suction side is prevented by the sealing action in the peripheral portion 9B, and this gas leak does not affect the suction gas amount.
Therefore, the suction gas amount is secured, and the performance of the compressor does not deteriorate due to the reduction of the suction gas amount. It is preferable that the central portion 9A is made of a material having heat resistance and abrasion resistance, such as a combination of aramid fiber and fluororesin fiber, and the peripheral portion 9B is made of, for example, a fluororesin material. It is preferable to use a material having a small sliding friction resistance as described above.

By the way, the length of the central portion 9A depends on the size of the teeth 1 and 3 of the first and second scrolls 2 and 4, the number of spiral turns,
It is determined in consideration of the pressure of the compressed gas, but the teeth 1 and 3 are 3.5 turns, the suction pressure is atmospheric pressure, and the discharge pressure is 7 kg /
In the case of cm 2 G, the central portion 9A is 1.
It is preferable to set the position up to 5 to 2 turns. Further, the central portion 9A and the peripheral portion 9B may be formed of the same member,
You may form with another member. Furthermore, since it is necessary to apply a back pressure to the peripheral portion 9B, it is necessary to create a gap in the end surface groove 5 on the side of the peripheral portion 9B and on the rear surface side. Therefore, in the above embodiment, the central portion 9A
On the other hand, the peripheral portion 9B is formed small with respect to the height and width dimensions of the cross section perpendicular to the spiral surface.
The present invention is not limited to this, and the size of the end surface groove 5 may be smaller in the peripheral portion than in the central portion without changing the dimensions of the central portion 9A and the peripheral portion 9B.

FIG. 5 shows a peripheral portion 9B of a tip seal of a scroll compressor according to a second embodiment of the present invention and a peripheral portion thereof. The peripheral portion 9B is different from the peripheral portion 9B of the first embodiment.
Except for the above, the other parts are substantially the same, and the parts corresponding to each other are denoted by the same reference numerals and the description thereof is omitted. In the present embodiment, the peripheral portion 9B is pressed by a sliding contact portion 10 that is in sliding contact with the bottom surfaces 7 and 8 of the tooth groove 6 and an elastic member that presses the sliding contact portion 10 from the rear surface side toward the bottom surfaces 7 and 8. And part 11. And by forming in this way, the flow resistance of the clearance gap at the back surface side of the peripheral portion 9B is increased, and it becomes difficult for gas to leak from this to the suction side, and the peripheral portion 9B is brought into close contact with the bottom surfaces 7 and 8. , The sealing action is improved.
