(Prior Art) Conventionally, as a joint for this type of fibrous rod-shaped structural material,
For example, a woven fabric or a non-woven fabric impregnated with an uncured binder is wound around the outer periphery of the butted portion of the rod-shaped structural material, and the binder is cured to bond these rod-shaped structural materials. What you have done is known.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, in the conventional joining by winding the woven fabric or nonwoven fabric impregnated with the binder, the binding force by the binder has a limit, and thus the joining of the rod-shaped structural material It has the inconvenience that it is not powerful enough. (Means for Solving the Problems) An object of the present invention is to provide a joint for a fibrous rod-shaped structural material, which can solve the above-mentioned conventional inconvenience and can strongly join the fibrous rod-shaped structural material. According to the invention, the central portion is bulged and is formed of a tubular fiber-reinforced synthetic resin molded body that tapers toward both end openings, and the fibrous rod-shaped structural material is inserted into the tubular molded body through each opening. Then, the end portions thereof can be overlapped with each other on their side surfaces and the curable material can be filled into the tubular molded body.

(Operation) In the central portion of the tubular fiber reinforced synthetic resin molded body,
Curable in which the two fibrous rod-shaped structural materials each inserted from the opening of the molded body are filled in the molded body in an uncured state in a state where their end portions are superposed on their side surfaces. When the two materials are cured, when the two structural materials are pulled in directions away from each other, initially the tensile force applied by the curable material to the two structural materials superposed on each other is applied. It supports the force, and when the applied tensile force is further increased, a crack is generated in the central portion of the curable material, the curable material is separated into approximately two halves, and the central portion goes toward the end opening. A wedge action acts on the tapered molded body, and the curable material tightens both structural materials that are superposed from the outer periphery. Tightening Becomes large and such a clamping force becomes to work even for reinforcing fibers constituting the respective structural material, so that the joining of these structural materials very tightly.

The drawing shows a state in which two fibrous rod-shaped structural materials (2) and (2) are joined by using the fibrous rod-shaped structural material joint (1) of the present invention. A central portion (4) is swollen, and a tapered cylindrical fiber-reinforced synthetic resin molding (3) is shown toward each end opening (5). The molding (3) is a cylindrically knitted aromatic polyamide. It is formed by impregnating fibers with an epoxy resin and curing them. In the central part (4) in the shaped body (3), two fibrous rod-shaped structural materials (2), (2) have their ends superposed on each other on their side faces, and A hardened material (6) such as high-strength mortar or epoxy resin is filled in the molded body (3) and hardened. In the figure, (7) shows a rubber packing for sealing, and (8) shows a filling port of the curable material (6). The diameter of the opening (5) is such that two structural materials (2) and (2) cannot be inserted at the same time.

As shown in the figure, a plurality of aggregate yarns (2b) made of aromatic polyamide fibers (2a) proposed by Japanese Patent Application No. 60-129164 as a fibrous rod-shaped structural material (2) are knitted into a braid. , An example of joining a bar-shaped structural material (2) having an irregular shape in which the respective fibers (2a) are bound to each other with a binder (2c) and unevenness due to stitches is formed on the surface thereof is shown. When joining ordinary rod-shaped structural materials (2),
For example, a granular material such as sand with a particle size of about 1 mm can be used as a curable material (6).
On the other hand, if it is mixed in an amount of about 10 times on a weight basis, strong joining can be performed as in the case of the odd-shaped rod-shaped structural material (2).

(Effect of the Invention) As described above, according to the fibrous rod-shaped structural material joint of the present invention, the overlapping is performed by the tightening action on the superposed fibrous rod-shaped structural materials due to the wedge action of the curable material. Since the structural materials can be joined extremely strongly and the structural materials can be overlapped and joined at their ends, the size of the joint is smaller than that in the case where the end faces are abutted. It has the effect that only a small size is required. Further, when using the fibrous rod-shaped structural material as the structural material of the electromagnetic resistant building, the effect that the structural material can be joined without affecting the electromagnetic resistance by the joint of the present invention which does not use metal as a constituent material Have.
