In such an apparatus, first, as shown in FIG. 9 (a), the slits 35 of the slit plate 34 are positioned above all the emission end side optical fiber core wires 24 of the multicore optical fiber 18. On the other hand, the first optical fiber core wire 3 of the multi-core fiber 16 for introducing the incident light entering the incident optical path switching device 14 from the light source 3 through the optical fiber 30 is arranged.
1, that is, the light beam is made incident on the uppermost optical fiber core wire 31 in the figure, and 1 of the multicore optical fiber 18 is passed through the optical fiber core wire 31.
The light is made incident on the optical fiber core wire 23 on the second incident end side. Then, as shown in FIG. 9B, the slit plate 34 is moved downward so that the slit 35 is located at the position of the multi-core optical fiber 18.
When the light is emitted from the optical fiber core wire 24 in alignment with the thirteenth emission end side optical fiber core wire 24, the light is received by the light receiving surface 26 of the light receiving device 25 through the slit 35.

In this way, when the order of the incident end side optical fiber core wire 23 of the multicore optical fiber 18 and the order of the exit end side optical fiber core wire 24 are the same, the multicore optical fiber 18 is inspected. The worker who is doing so determines that the order of the uppermost optical fiber core wire 21 of the multicore optical fiber 18 is not changed. Further, in the state of FIG. 9B, the light receiving device receives the light from the first optical fiber core wire 24 on the outgoing end side of the multi-core optical fiber 18.
If 25 cannot receive the light, the slit plate 34 is moved downward until the light can be received, and the operator judges that the order of the first optical fiber core wire 21 of the multi-core optical fiber 18 is changed. To do.

Next, as shown in FIG. 9 (c), the incident light path switching device driving unit 39 drives the incident light path switching device 14 so that the incident light from the light source 3 is supplied to the multi-core fiber 16 for introducing light. Switch to the th optical fiber core wire 31 so that it enters,
The incident light is made to enter the optical fiber core wire 23 on the second incident end side of the multi-core optical fiber 18, and in that state, the slit plate is used as described above.
By moving 34 in the vertical direction, it is confirmed whether the order of the optical fiber core wires 21 of the optical fiber core wires 18 is switched. Then, similarly to the above, the worker drives the incident optical path switching device 14 by the incident optical path switching device driving unit 39 to sequentially enter the third and fourth incident end side optical fiber core wires 23 of the multi-core optical fiber 18. The light was made incident and it was confirmed whether the order of the optical fiber core wires 21 of the multi-core optical fiber 18 was changed.

However, in these devices, the end surface of the optical fiber core wire 24 on the output end side is accurately mirror-cut so that the output light from each optical fiber core wire 24 on the output end side is emitted in parallel. Therefore, it is very difficult to manufacture the inspection device because the light receiving device 25 must receive the light and the slit 35 and the moving mechanism of the slit plate 34 must be extremely elaborate.

If the shape of the slit 35, the moving distance of the slit plate 34, the angle of the light emitted from the optical fiber core wire 21, and the like are inaccurate, the multicore optical fiber 18
Even if it is possible to confirm the presence or absence of abnormalities, it may not be possible to identify which number of the optical fiber core wire 21 has been replaced, and in particular, the optical fiber core wire 21 may be damaged and the optical fiber core wire on the light receiving device 25 side. It was difficult to perform an accurate inspection when it was difficult to receive the emitted light from 21.

Then, the return light is branched by the directional coupler 4 and is incident on the signal processing unit 5, and the signal processing unit 5 performs signal processing to display the intensity of the returned light (scattered light power) on the display device 6. For example, the optical loss of the optical fiber core wire is detected from the characteristic data of the scattered light power and the length of the optical fiber (optical fiber core wire). In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, the detection result of the optical loss of the optical fiber core wire detected by the OTDR 1 as described above is added to the optical loss detection determination unit 38.

That is, as shown in FIGS. 2 (a) and 2 (c), when the optical fiber core wires 21 of the multi-core optical fiber 18 are aligned and arranged in parallel, the order of incidence of incident light is set. When the arrangement order of the detections on the emission end side is the same, but the arrangement order of the optical fiber core wires 21 of the multi-core optical fiber 18 is switched as shown in FIG. The installation order is from the upper side to ,, while the emission end side detection arrangement order of the optical fiber core wire 21 is from the upper side to ,, and the emission end side detection arrangement order and the incident light incidence arrangement order. Therefore, the wire number comparison and determination device 41 can determine whether the arrangement order of the optical fiber core wires 21 is normal, and the arrangement order of the optical fiber core wires 21 of the multi-core optical fiber 18 is in the middle. If it is judged that the replacement order has been replaced by By adding the data of the emission end side detection arrangement order and the incident arrangement order to the display device 43, for example, the second optical fiber core wire 21 and the third optical fiber core wire 21 from the top are replaced on the way. It is displayed and confirmed on the display device 43.

According to this embodiment, according to the above operation, the order of the incident light incident by the light incident means 45 and the emission end side detection arrangement of the optical fiber core wire 21 detected by the emission side wire number detecting device 46 are arranged. Since the order is compared to detect the arrangement order of the optical fiber core wires 21 of the multi-core optical fiber 18, it is accurately determined whether the optical fiber core wires 21 are aligned or the arrangement order is changed. In addition, it is possible to accurately detect and confirm which optical fiber core wire 21 is replaced when the arrangement order is changed.

At the same time, the optical loss of each optical fiber core wire 21 is detected by the OTDR 1, and each optical fiber core wire 21 is detected.
The optical loss of the optical fiber 21 can be grasped at the same time, and even when the optical fiber core wire 21 has an abnormality such as a scratch or a disconnection, it can be accurately detected. And thereby, in this embodiment, it becomes possible to simultaneously inspect the abnormality of each optical fiber core wire 21 of the multi-core optical fiber 18 and the abnormality of the arrangement order of the optical fiber core wire 21, and these inspections are performed separately. It is possible to inspect the multi-core optical fiber 18 in a shorter time than the above-described procedure.

According to the present invention, the arrangement order of the optical fiber core wires arranged in the multi-core optical fiber on the emitting end side is detected by the emitting side wire number detecting device, and the detected emitting side of the optical fiber core wires is detected. By comparing the detection arrangement order and the incident arrangement order of the incident light incident by the light incident means, it is possible to accurately determine whether the optical fiber core wires of the multi-core optical fiber are aligned or the arrangement order is switched. It becomes possible to inspect, and it is possible to accurately inspect which optical fiber core wire is replaced when the arrangement order of the optical fiber core wire is replaced.

Further, the light incident means has an OTDR for making incident light incident on the optical fiber core and receiving return light scattered and reflected by the optical fiber core and returning to detect the optical loss of the optical fiber core. According to the present invention configured, since it is possible to simultaneously measure the arrangement order of the optical fiber core wires of the multi-core optical fiber and the optical loss of each optical fiber core wire, for example, the optical fiber core wire itself such as a scratch or a disconnection And the abnormality in the arrangement order of the optical fiber core wires can be simultaneously measured. Then, it becomes possible to perform both measurements in a shorter time than measuring the abnormality of the optical fiber core itself and the abnormality of the arrangement order of the optical fiber cores separately, and very efficiently inspecting the multi-core optical fiber. It can be performed.
