Abstract

(57)【要約】 【目的】 本発明は軽量なゴルフクラブヘッドを提供す
ることを目的とする。 【構成】 金属製にして内部に中空部を形成したゴルフ
クラブヘッドであって、該ヘッドの内面に補強リブ１を
突設したものである。

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、軽量なゴルフクラブヘ
ッドに関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術発明が解決しようとする課題】従来からヘ
ッドを可及的に軽量化する為、肉薄材によりヘッドを作
成する試みが種々なされている。
【０００３】しかし、軽量化即ち肉薄化を追及する余
り、強度が劣化してしまったのでは製品としては成り立
たない。
【０００４】例えば、フェース部は、肉薄にすると反発
力が出、ボールが飛ぶようになるが、反復継続使用によ
るボールとのインパクトにより凹みが生じたりするとい
う問題が生ずる。
【０００５】しかし、逆に肉厚化にも限界がある。例え
ば、フェース部を肉厚化し過ぎると、反発力が劣化し、
ボールの飛びが劣るとともにヘッドの重心がヘッドの前
側（フェース部が存する方がヘッドの前側）に位置する
ことになる為、この点においてもボールが飛びにくくな
るという欠点を具有することになる。
【０００６】従って、ヘッドの肉薄化と肉厚化とは相反
する要請を満たすことが条件となる為、各メーカーとも
種々試行錯誤を繰り返しているのである。
【０００７】本発明は上記の欠点を解決したゴルフクラ
ブヘッドを提供するものである。
【０００８】
【課題を解決するための手段】添付図面を参照して本発
明の要旨を説明する。
【０００９】金属製にして内部に中空部を形成したゴル
フクラブヘッドであって、該ヘッドの内面に補強リブ１
を突設したことを特徴とするゴルフクラブヘッドに係る
ものである。
【００１０】複数の金属製の分割殻同志を適宜な手段に
より連設して内部に中空部を形成したゴルフクラブヘッ
ドであって、各分割殻の裏面に補強リブ１を突設したこ
とを特徴とするゴルフクラブヘッドに係るものである。
【００１１】フェース部２と上部殻部３と底部４に周壁
５を立設した下部殻部６との三部材から成る金属製の中
空ゴルフクラブヘッドであって、少なくともフェース部
２の裏面に補強リブ１を突設したことを特徴とするゴル
フクラブヘッドに係るものである。
【００１２】請求項１〜３いずれか１項に記載のゴルフ
クラブヘッドであって、補強リブ１として一点から放射
方向に延設される全方向リブを採用したことを特徴とす
るゴルフクラブヘッドに係るものである。

【作用】補強リブ１の存在により肉厚化を行わなくても
所要の強度をヘッドに与えることができる。

【実施例】図面は本発明の一実施例を図示したもので、
以下に説明する。
【００１５】本実施例は図１に図示したようにフェース
部２と上部殻部３と底部４に周壁５を立設した下部殻部
６との三部材を適宜溶接して成る金属製（例えば、ステ
ンレス製，チタン製等）の中空ゴルフクラブヘッドであ
る。
【００１６】このフェース部２、上部殻部３、下部殻部
６は夫々プレス加工して作成するもので、このプレス加
工の際、夫々の裏面に図２に図示した補強リブ１を形成
する。
【００１７】この補強リブ１は一点ａから放射状に延設
されるリブで、図面の場合、正六角形リブを縦，斜めに
隣接状態で並設し、所々に星形のリブ及び適宜なリブを
配したものである。実際の結果、この形状のリブが最も
好ましく、この形状で強度が同厚の部材に比し２〜３割
アップすることを確認した。従って、この形状のリブを
形成することで各部材の厚さを数ｍｍ肉薄に形成し得る
ことになる。
【００１８】補強リブ１を例えば縦方向のみ、横方向の
みというように一方向リブとすることは好ましくない。
けだし、ボールはフェース部２にどのような方向（角
度）で衝突するか不明であるからである。よって、本実
施例のような全方向リブが望ましい。
【００１９】符号７はネック部である。
【００２０】本実施例は上述のように構成したから、比
重の大きい金属を使用して肉薄且つ高強度のヘッドを形
成し得ることになり、従って、ヘッド容積を大きくして
も高強度にして重いヘッドにはならず、また、フェース
部２は肉薄のまま強度を上げることが出来る為、フェー
ス部２の反発力は劣化せず且つ重心が前側へ位置せず、
よって、飛びの効果が格段秀れた軽量且つ高強度のゴル
フクラブヘッドとなる。

【発明の効果】本発明は上述のように構成したから軽量
なゴルフクラブヘッドとなる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 金属製にして内部に中空部を形成したゴ
    ルフクラブヘッドであって、該ヘッドの内面に補強リブ
    を突設したことを特徴とするゴルフクラブヘッド。
  2. 【請求項２】 複数の金属製の分割殻同志を適宜な手段
    により連設して内部に中空部を形成したゴルフクラブヘ
    ッドであって、各分割殻の裏面に補強リブを突設したこ
    とを特徴とするゴルフクラブヘッド。
  3. 【請求項３】 フェース部と上部殻部と底部に周壁を立
    設した下部殻部との三部材から成る金属製の中空ゴルフ
    クラブヘッドであって、少なくともフェース部の裏面に
    補強リブを突設したことを特徴とするゴルフクラブヘッ
    ド。
  4. 【請求項４】 請求項１〜３いずれか１項に記載のゴル
    フクラブヘッドであって、補強リブとして一点から放射
    方向に延設される全方向リブを採用したことを特徴とす
    るゴルフクラブヘッド。
