Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as an inspection method for determining the quality of the appearance of floor tiles, a method of performing visual inspection by a person is known. This visual inspection usually looks at the floor tiles conveyed on the conveyor to judge the quality of the product,
After passing or failing, the operator manually removes the floor tiles or operates a switch such as a push button to discharge the rejected floor tiles by a discharging device when the failure occurs. It was done by the method.

Further, since the visual inspection is determined by the inspector's subjectivity, there is a problem that the inspection level varies depending on the inspector and the inspection level varies depending on the physical condition and mood of the inspector. Further, there is a disadvantage that an inspector's eyes are tired due to the long-time inspection, and the inspector must be replaced by another in a short time.

The method of the present invention is a method capable of inspecting the appearance of a floor tile without performing a conventional visual inspection method by a person. In this method, the appearance of a floor tile conveyed on a conveyor is observed. A CCD camera, an inspection device that analyzes image data from the CCD camera, and a sorting device that sorts floor tiles by determining a reference value obtained by the inspection device are mainly used.

This inspection device sets the data of the original image of the floor tile without stains, dust, chips, holes, etc. to the reference value of the image subjected to the binarization process of white and black with the value set arbitrarily. As a result, it is possible to confirm dirt or dust having a diameter of 0.7 mm or more, which is different from the color of the base of the floor tile.

The reference value differs depending on the type and application of the floor tile, and a value suitable for the floor tile is set. , May be selected as appropriate. The reference value in this case is, for example, 0.7 mm diameter in a 300 mm square floor tile.
It was determined that the standard value was reached when there was no such stain, dust, or hole, and the standard value was not reached when there were one or more. When inspecting a floor tile with a pattern, the photographed image data is binarized, the area of the pattern portion extracted from the ground is measured by an inspection device, and the 300 mm square floor tile Diameter 0.7
The standard value is judged by the number of stains, dust, perforations, etc. of mm or more.

CCD camera (made by Sony) and its center part
When passing the floor tiles by a photoelectric sensor (manufactured by OMRON Corporation) installed at a predetermined position near the conveyor, the image data of the floor tiles is captured by the CCD camera, A tile defect, a pattern defect or the like was discriminated based on the following standard values preset by an inspection device (manufactured by Takatake Seisakusho Co., Ltd.), and pass / fail was determined. In the case of a passing floor tile, the output signal of the inspection device is not output, and in the case of a failure, an output signal is output, and the timing of discharge is controlled by the output signal from the inspection device by the conveyor installed in the subsequent stage, and the rejected floor The tile was discharged.
