2. Description of the Related Art When a cardboard box is used to package a shock-sensitive packaged article, a particular problem is that when the cardboard box falls from its corners so as to hit the floor, The concentrated load applied may damage the corners of the box and damage the packaged item. As one of the measures for improving this problem, conventionally, a method of embedding a plastic reinforcing band in a headband shape near the upper end (and the lower end) of the peripheral wall of the box has been adopted. Further, a method has also been practiced in which a lid (bottom) piece is laid across a side wall of a box, an adhesive tape for packing is attached, and at the same time when the lid is closed, the structural strength of the box is increased. Alternatively, JP-A-2-242735
The publication discloses a method of providing a reinforcing structure similar to a "brace" of a building at the four corners of the folding cardboard box on the lid side. This technique, by forming diagonal cuts on the bases of both ends of each lid piece, the triangular piece that becomes a brace,
It is formed so as to be separable from the lid piece, and when the lid is closed, two adjacent triangular pieces at each corner portion of the box are laminated in a superposed manner.

However, the method of embedding a reinforcing band in a predetermined portion of a corrugated cardboard used as a material of a box requires a corrugated board manufacturing machine equipped with an auxiliary equipment for embedding, so that the small and medium size It was difficult for this processor to adopt.
In addition, since the reinforcing band is embedded, the manufacturing cost of the corrugated board increases. Further, the method of attaching the adhesive tape is troublesome and the reinforcing effect is not always sufficient. In the case of JP-A-2-242735, when the lid is closed, the inefficient extra work of attaching the triangular pieces at the four corners one by one is necessary, and the used box cannot be easily crushed. Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a reinforced corner portion that makes it possible to reinforce this box as easily and surely as possible in case the box is dropped off from the corner portion first. It is to provide a cardboard box.

By the way, during transportation of the cardboard box 200,
If, by accident, the box is upside down and the box corner is hit against the floor, a very large concentrated load will be applied to the corner. However, unlike the conventional cardboard box 200, the adjacent lid pieces 2A to 2D are not completely separated from each other, and the corner connecting piece 5 is provided at the corner of the box. Are connected to each other via. Of course, the corner connecting piece 5 is folded in two when the lid is closed.

Therefore, in each of the corners on the lid side of the cardboard box 200, the corner connecting piece 5 plays a role as if it were a "brace" of a building. As a result, the structural strength and / or impact resistance of the corners of the box are significantly enhanced compared to conventional corrugated cardboard boxes. Therefore, even if a large impact force is accidentally applied to the corner portion while handling the cardboard box, there is almost no risk of tearing this portion or crushing the corner portion and damaging the packed article. Lost.

As is clear from the above description, the corrugated cardboard box having the reinforced corner portions according to the present invention has excellent practical effects as listed below. (A) Unlike the conventional one in which a reinforcing band is embedded in a corrugated cardboard, no facility for embedding is required, so that it can be easily adopted by small and medium-sized processors. (B) Also, the cost of corrugated board is not increased by embedding the reinforcing band, and the reinforcing effect itself is superior to this method. (C) Since it suffices to change the way in which the cuts and folds are provided on the corrugated cardboard used as the material of the box, almost no extra cost is required for constructing the corners as a reinforcing structure. (D) Since the reinforcing structure of the corner portion is naturally formed during the packaging process of the box, unlike the conventional method of reinforcing with the adhesive tape or the like, no extra labor and cost are required. (E) If the inner wall surface of the box is provided with a reinforcing side wall formed by bending a corrugated cardboard into a U-shaped cross section, the structural strength of the entire box including the corners can be further increased. (F) Since the reinforcing side wall is separately arranged on both sides of the handle piece, it does not interfere with inserting the hand into the handle hole, and the material of the reinforcing side wall can be saved.
