Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a feeling integrated with a foot regardless of the type thereof by dividing an instep zone into right and left sections from the notch of a shell body for forming a divisional superposed section, and fixing a plate for covering the notch to one side of the shell body in such a state as striding across the notch. CONSTITUTION: An outer shell 27 has a shell body 31 to cover a section lower than an ankle, and the body 31 is provided with an approximately U-shaped notch 45 over a range from the upper opening of the body 31 to a bent section 43 adjacent to an instep zone. Also, a section ranging from the notch 45 to the instep zone is divided into right and left sections, thereby forming a divisional superposed section 41. The notch 45 is covered with a plate 51 and only one side thereof is fixed to the inner side of the body 31 with two screws in such a state as striding across the notch 45. According to this construction, a foot can be inserted and pulled out pertinently, and a ski boot 25 as a whole provides a rigid feeling. In addition, a feeling integrated with a foot can be provided, regardless of a foot type.

As shown in FIG. 8, the overlap belt 9 is formed into a shape that wraps around the instep region of the shell body 1, and its edge portions 9a and 9b are vertically overlapped with each other to form the overlap belt. The second buckle 13 attached to 9 is used for tightening. And
Both end portions of the overlap belt 9 are extended to the ankle portion and are axially supported together with the shell body 1 and the body portion 15.
The upper portion of the overlap belt 9 is covered with the body portion 15,
The ankle portion of the inner boot 22 is tightened together with the body portion 15 by operating the third and fourth buckles 19 and 21 attached to the division overlapping portion 17 of the body portion 15.

Therefore, for example, when a person with a high instep and a thin ankle operates the third buckle 19 to properly tighten the ankle, the overlap belt 9 is deformed and the instep of the foot becomes tight. The second buckle 13
Even if the upper part of the foot is properly tightened by operating, the tightening of the ankle part is insufficient, so if the third buckle 19 is operated to tighten the ankle part, the overlap belt 9 is deformed and the upper part of the foot is deformed. The part is tightened further and becomes tight.

Similarly, when a person with a thick ankle and a low instep operates the second buckle 13 to properly tighten the instep, the overlap belt 9 is deformed and the ankle becomes tight. Even if the third buckle 19 is operated to properly tighten the ankle, the second belt 13 is operated to tighten the upper part because the upper part of the foot is not sufficiently tightened. The ankle will be tightened further and it will be tight.
