The technique described in Japanese Patent Publication No. Sho 61-19946 can be mentioned.
In this conventional technique, a command pulse to the pulse motor is calculated and output according to the operating state of the engine, and the throttle valve is controlled to the target opening.

It is configured to forcibly return to the idle position when it stops.
Therefore, when a command value that exceeds the fully open position of the throttle valve is output, the pulse motor loses step due to the characteristic when the throttle valve hits the stopper, the torque becomes zero, and the throttle valve suddenly opens at the fully closed position. Therefore, there is a disadvantage that the engine output sharply decreases as a result. Also, when controlling the valve closing direction, there is no problem of such spring biasing force, but when outputting a command value exceeding the fully closed position, a command value not involved in the operation of the throttle valve is output. There was dissatisfaction in terms of responsiveness and followability.

There may be a case where the rotation direction is frequently reversed. Therefore, in such a case, if the pulse motor is output as it is, the throttle opening is accordingly changed and the intake air amount is changed, and hunting occurs in the engine output, so that stable control cannot be expected.

Target throttle opening setting means 3 for setting the opening, motor command value calculating means 4 for inputting the output of the target throttle opening setting means to calculate a command value to a pulse motor for driving the throttle valve, the motor command It comprises a pulse motor 5 that rotates by receiving the output of the value calculation means, and a throttle valve 6 that is connected to the pulse motor and that opens and closes the engine intake passage according to the rotation. In the on-vehicle internal combustion engine throttle opening control device, the motor command value computing means obtains a current opening of the throttle valve and obtains a deviation between the obtained current opening and the target throttle opening. A means for calculating a command value to the pulse motor, a command limit value based on a deviation between the physical opening limit value of the throttle valve and the current opening, and the command limit value and the command value. And means for setting the smaller value as the command value to the pulse motor.

This is judged from the starter switch signal, range selector signal, vehicle speed, intake pressure, throttle opening, engine speed, etc., especially when the engine speed is below the appropriately set deceleration speed and above the idle determination speed. It is determined that the engine is in the idle control range, and the process proceeds to S18 to appropriately determine the throttle opening θidle for idle control.

This is judged from the output signals of the brake switch 74, the auto cruise main switch 76, etc. described above. If it is determined that the vehicle is in the automatic cruise control range, the program proceeds to S24 to appropriately calculate the automatic cruise opening θcru to maintain the set vehicle speed, and if not, set the automatic cruise opening to zero in S26. For example, even when an operating state in which the idle control range and the automatic cruise control range overlap each other occurs, it is possible to optimally control the throttle opening that makes both controls compatible.
Since the selected maximum value is indicated by the opening, divide it by a predetermined number (opening per pulse) in this step,
Convert to pulse number.

And the deviation ΔθTHO calculated from the target value θTHOn calculated this time, the polarity of the deviation is determined in S32, that is, it is determined whether the motor rotation direction is reversed, and if it is determined that it is reversed, the deviation is subsequently determined in S34. It is determined whether or not the absolute value (regardless of the rotation direction) is smaller than an appropriately set n step angle, for example, 1 step angle. Here, the reason why the angle is smaller than the one-step angle is judged because a fractional part after the decimal point may occur in the above-mentioned opening-pulse conversion. When it is determined that the difference is small, the deviation ΔθTHO is temporarily stored in S36. Specifically, the current store value ΔθTHOSn-1 that was already stored is added with the current deviation to obtain the latest store value ΔθTHOSn. Then, in S38, the target throttle opening value θTHOn
Keeps the previous target value θTHOn-1 and keeps the target value unchanged. As described above, when the change of the target value is slight and the rotation direction changes frequently, a dead zone is provided so that the output is not performed. In this case, if the angle is less than 1 step angle, the pulse motor characteristic is not output. However, it is particularly beneficial when n is set to 2 to 3 step angles.
If it is determined in S32 that the polarity of the deviation is not reversed, or if it is determined in S34 that the deviation (absolute value) is larger than the set step angle n, the process proceeds to S40 and is stored in the target value θTHOn. The existing value ΔθTHOSn is added (when there is a store value) to obtain the current target value, and the store value is reset to zero for the next calculation in S42.

52, 54). This upper limit value θMAX means an upper limit value at which output can be completed within the calculation cycle of 10 ms. That is, if the command pulse is continuously output for two or more cycles, the current opening cannot be calculated accurately in S44.
The limit is set like this. In this flowchart, the valve opening direction is a positive value and the valve closing direction is a negative value.

力することは前記した通りである。Then, in S56, the limit check is performed again for the command value. This is for determining whether or not the throttle valve can move as instructed as described above. Specifically, the rotation direction is determined in S56, and if it is determined that the valve is in the valve opening direction, then the control value is determined so that the throttle valve can move according to the command value calculated in S58. That is, the value obtained by subtracting the current opening θTHPn from the upper limit opening θTHMAX (pulse absolute value) corresponding to the maximum opening (WOT) at which the throttle valve can be physically opened is the movable range. The value is compared with the operation command value and the smaller value is selected. This is because, as described above, the throttle valve is attached to the valve shaft 6a by a spring and is urged in the fully closing direction. Therefore, when the pulse motor is given a command value of fully open or more, the throttle valve strikes the stopper. This is to avoid the inconvenience that the pulse motor is stepped out due to the characteristic at the time of hitting and is immediately returned to the fully closed position by the spring force so that the engine output sharply decreases. When the command value is the value in the valve closing direction, the current opening is a positive value calculated with the fully closed position as zero, so simply compare the control value (absolute value) with the current opening. It is possible to limit the command value to the movable range only by selecting the smaller one (S60). In this case, there is no problem with the biasing force of the spring in the valve closing direction, but with such a configuration, it is possible to limit the output of pulses that are not involved in the operation of the throttle valve, and improve the calculation speed and control response. To do. As described above, the command value calculated in this way is stored in the RAM without being output at the time when the calculation is completed and is output at S10 when the program is started next time.

Alternatively, an unnecessary command value is not output in the fully closed direction, excellent responsiveness and followability can be achieved, and stable control can be realized. Further, when the change of the target value is small and the polarity is frequently inverted, the control value is not changed, and thus the control characteristics can be similarly stabilized.

Means for calculating a command value to the pulse motor by obtaining a deviation from a target throttle opening, and a command limit value based on a deviation between a movement limit value at which the throttle valve can be physically opened and the current opening. The throttle valve is used for controlling the valve opening direction because it is configured so as to obtain the command limit value and the command value and compare the command value with the command value to the pulse motor. There is no inconvenience such as forcibly returning via the return spring, and command values that are not involved in the valve closing operation can be omitted even in the control in the valve closing direction, providing excellent control stability and responsiveness and follow-up. It also has the advantage of improving subordination.

Is configured to add the command value to the command value to be calculated next time and output the command value calculated last time as it is until the sum becomes equal to or more than the predetermined value. Therefore, the throttle opening is fluctuated and the intake air amount is changed. Therefore, there is an advantage that stable control can be realized without causing inconvenience such as causing hunting in the engine output by changing.
