<Means for Solving the Problems> In order to solve the above problems, the recording medium replacement mechanism in the image forming apparatus of the present invention is an image forming an image on a belt-shaped recording medium rotated by a driving unit. A mechanism for exchanging the recording medium in a forming apparatus, the supporting frame being pivotally attached to a body frame of the image forming apparatus so as to be rotatable around one end side thereof, and the supporting frame being rotatably supported by the supporting frame. A drive member for transporting and supporting the recording medium, a rotatably supported by the support frame, a driven member for supporting the recording medium, and formed on the left and right frames of the support frame, Locking means for locking either the driving member or the driven member by tilting the side opposite to the rotation axis side of the support frame in the direction in which the distance between them becomes shorter. <Operation> According to the above means, the support frame body pivotally attached to the main body frame of the image forming apparatus so as to be rotatable about the one end side as a rotation axis,
A driving member for transporting and supporting the recording medium and a driven member for supporting the recording medium are rotatably supported, and one of the driving member and the driven member is mutually supported on the supporting frame. Since the locking means for tilting and locking the side opposite to the rotation axis side of the support frame is formed in the direction in which the distance is shortened, the support frame is rotated by rotating the support frame. Can be opened and closed with respect to the main body frame, and either the driving member or the driven member can be moved in the longitudinal direction of the supporting frame body and can be tilted and locked by the locking means so that the distance between these members can be increased. The width at one end can be made substantially equal to the length of the recording medium, and the other end can be made narrower than the length of the recording medium.

From when the transition to the state (C) Corner 15a 1 and engage claws 5d and the window 15a, to hold the slide member 15 in the locked state. Further, when the slide member 15 is pushed down to the state shown in FIG. 7D, it has a function of releasing the locked state and returning to the original state shown in FIG.

That is, as for the mounting position of the locking claw 5d with respect to the vertical frame 5a, when the driven roller 3 is pushed down to lock the roller 3, the end of the driven roller 3 on the vertical frame 5a side is in a normal use state. It is attached so that it can be locked at a position substantially equivalent to the axial center position. Also, the mounting position of the locking claw 5d with respect to the vertical frame 5b is such that when the driven roller 3 is pushed down and locked, the driven roller 3
The end on the vertical frame 5b side is attached so that it can be locked below the axial center position in a normal use state. Vertical frame
When both ends of the driven roller 3 are pushed down and locked by attaching the locking claws 5d to the 5a and 5b as described above, the rollers 3 are moved from the vertical frame 5a side to the vertical frame 5a as shown in FIG. It is possible to lock in a state inclined with respect to the 5b side.

The home position sensor 9 uses a photocoupler composed of a light emitting element 9a and a light receiving element 9b which are arranged to face each other. The home position of the recording sheet 1 can be detected by sandwiching the side edge of the recording sheet 1 by the elements 9a and 9b and detecting the detection window 1a formed at that position. Incidentally, in the figure, 9c is a connector for electrically connecting the electrical component section 12 and the home position sensor 9.

When the recording sheet 1 is attached to the support frame 5, a guide member 17 having a guide plate 17a is provided so that the side edge of the recording sheet 1 can be smoothly introduced between the elements 9a and 9b of the home position sensor 9. It is provided. The guide plate 17a
In order to smoothly introduce the recording sheet 1 into the home position sensor 9, the leading end of the recording sheet 1 is expanded toward the center of the recording sheet 1. A space 17b is formed in the center of the guide plate 17a, and the element 9a of the home position sensor 9 is arranged in the space 17b.

First, as shown in FIG. 6, the support frame body 5 is rotated to release one of the frame bodies 5 from the main body frame 6. Both ends of the driven roller 3 are pushed down to slide the slide member 15 into the vertical frames 5a and 5b.
Lock to each. As a result, the driven roller 3 is locked with an inclination from the vertical frame 5a side to the vertical frame 5b side as shown in FIG. At this time, the side edge of the recording sheet 1 on the side of the vertical frame 5a is

Next, when mounting the recording sheet 1 on the support frame 5, the driven roller 3 is tilted in the same manner as described above, and the vertical frame 5 is inserted.
It is locked to a and 5b, and is inserted in the direction of arrow b in FIG. 8 from the side edge of the recording sheet 1 where the detection window 1a is formed. At this time, since the recording sheet 1 is inserted in a direction in which the driving roller 2 and the driven roller 3 are closer to each other in a direction in which the recording sheet 1 is gradually tightened, the driven roller 3 can be smoothly inserted by using the driven roller 3 as a guide. The side edge of the recording sheet 1 on which the detection window 1a is formed moves to the home position sensor 9 side while being gradually tensioned by the driving roller 2 and the driven roller 3. When the side edge reaches the vicinity of the home position sensor 9 and the slack of the recording sheet 1 is reduced,
As shown in FIG. 7A, the guide plate 17a comes into contact with the guide plate 17a and is guided by the guide plate 17a. As shown in FIG. .

In the above-described embodiment, when the driven roller 3 is tilted and locked to the support frame 5, the locking claws 5 provided on the vertical frames 5a and 5b are used.
Although it is done by changing the mounting position of d, this is the same effect by changing the shape of the locking window 15a, for example, by setting the mounting position of the locking claw 5d to the vertical frames 5a, 5b at the same level. It is possible to obtain

Further, in the above-described embodiment, when the driven roller 3 is tilted with respect to the support frame 5 and locked, it is not necessarily limited to using a double action type locking mechanism, and for example, the vertical frame 5a may be used. Alternatively, hooks may be provided on the terminals 5b and 5b, and the driven roller 3 may be locked by the hooks.

Further, in the above-described embodiment, the case where the driven roller 3 is tilted and locked with respect to the support frame body 5 has been described.
If the drive roller 2 is attached to the vertical frames 5a and 5b using the same mechanism as that of the driven roller 3 described in the above-mentioned embodiment,
It is possible to incline and lock the drive roller 2 with respect to the support frame 5. In this case, the recording sheet 1 can be replaced in the same manner as when the driven roller 3 is tilted.

<Effects of the Invention> As described in detail above, the recording medium replacement mechanism in the image forming apparatus of the present invention records in the support frame pivotally attached to the main body frame of the image forming apparatus. A drive member for transporting the medium and a driven member for applying a tension to the recording medium are rotatably supported, and one of the drive member and the driven member is tilted to the support frame. Since the locking means for locking the support frame is formed, the support frame can be opened and closed with respect to the main body frame by rotating the support frame. Further, either the driving member or the driven member is moved in the longitudinal direction of the support frame and is tilted and locked by the locking means so that the distance between these members is substantially equal to the length of the recording medium at one end. They can be made equal and at the other end can be narrower than the length of the recording medium. Therefore, the driving member or the driven member can function as an inclination guide when replacing the belt-shaped recording medium. Therefore, it has a feature that the work of mounting or removing the recording medium can be easily and surely carried out.
