なる不織布を使用すると、一般にその不織布には殆ど保
水能力がないから、それがコアに密着していない限り体
液はコアに吸収されることがなく、不織布表面上を流れ
て横漏れすることになる。それゆえ、かかる不織布をコ
アに密着させるには、例えば実開昭５７−１３９３１８
号公報が開示する技術を利用するとよい。この技術は衛
生濡れナプキンに関するが、該ナプキンの構造は生理用
ナプキンや使い捨ておむつの吸収体と基本的に同じであ
る。そして、この技術によれば、重ね合わせた表面シー
トとコアとにエンボス加工を施すと同時に、その加工部
位においてコアに含まれる熱可塑性合成繊維を加熱溶融
し、シートとコアとを局部的に融着一体化することによ
って両者の密着状態を維持することができる。かかる加
熱を伴うエンボス加工は、熱エンボス加工として一般に
知られている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】そこで、前記技術の思
想を応用し、熱可塑性合成繊維製の不織布を表面シート
に使用して熱エンボス加工を施せば、合成繊維を溶かし
てコアに融着させ、シートとコアとの密着状態を維持す
ることができる。そのときに、不織布は溶けた加工部分
とその近傍とがフィルム化することが多い。図３は、そ
のような従来技術による熱エンボス加工を施した衛生用
品の吸収体（生理用ナプキン）の部分断面図である。こ
の吸収体３０は、熱可塑性合成繊維製の不織布からなる
透液性表面シート３３と、合成樹脂フィルムからなる不
透液性シート３４との間に吸液性コア３５を介在させた
ものであって、厚みｔを有する。熱エンボス加工を施し
た部分において、表面シート３３が吸収体３０の厚みｔ
の１／２以上の深さにまで達する凹み３６を形成し、か
つ、凹み３６とその近傍のハッチング部位３７は表面シ
ート３３の繊維が溶けてフィルム化し、コア３５に融着
している。表面シート３３とコア３５とを強固に密着さ
せるうえで、エンボス加工部は、表面シート３３の凹み
３６が吸収体３０の厚みｔの１／２以上の深さに達する
ことが好ましいが、凹み３６が深くなるにつれ上部の開
口径ｄは大きくなる傾向にある。

はその経血が眼にふれて不快感を催しかねないという問
題がある。

部１０は、表面シート３に対する面積率を５〜２５％と
し、開口径Ｄ1を１〜１５ｍｍ、開口径Ｄ2を０．５〜３

Claims (1)
- 【請求項１】少なくとも吸液性コアと、該コアの少なく
とも片面を被覆する熱可塑性合成繊維製の透液性不織布
シートとからなり、前記コアとシートとを個々に独立
し、かつ、間欠的に配設した多数のエンボス加工部によ
り一体に接合した衛生用品の吸収体において、 前記エンボス加工部を前記コアとシートとを部分的に厚
み方向に圧縮してなる大径凹部と、該大径凹部内に位置
し前記シートを前記厚み方向に前記大径凹部よりもさら
に凹ませて、その凹ませた部位を前記コアに融着させて
なる小径凹部とにより構成したことを特徴とする前記吸
収体。
