When the endoscope 1 of the present embodiment is used, the connecting member 22 is rotated by rotating the operation lever 16 of the operation unit 3 in the front-back direction.
Can be moved forward and backward along the axial direction of the insertion portion 2, and the hood 8 can be moved forward and backward through the wire 10 connected to the connecting member 22. Here, when the hood 8 is not used, the operation lever 16 is rotated in the forward direction to bring the hood 8 to the rearmost position as shown in FIG. In this case, operations such as insertion of the endoscope 1, observation of the endoscope, and treatment with a treatment tool can be performed in a state where the field of view of the objective lens 30 of the endoscope 1 is not completely obstructed by the hood 8. it can.

The proximal end of the wire 10 can be removed from the wire attaching / detaching portion 24 of the connecting member 22. As a result, the unit of the wire 10 and the hood 8 can be removed from the endoscope 1, so that the cleaning / disinfecting work between the hood 8 and the hard tip portion 5 and the inside of the wire conduit 11 can be performed more easily than in the conventional case. Therefore, the working time can be shortened.

That is, the wire attaching / detaching portion 24 is provided at the wire connecting portion between the proximal end portion of the operating wire 10 of the hood 8 and the connecting member 22 of the wire operating mechanism 17, and the wire 10 is detachably connected to the wire attaching / detaching portion 24. Therefore, after the endoscopic examination, by disconnecting the wire 10 from the wire attaching / detaching portion 24, the entire endoscope 1 can be efficiently washed and disinfected in a state where the hood 8 is removed from the distal end hard portion 5 of the insertion portion 2. Therefore, cleaning and disinfection of the distal end hard portion 5 and the wire conduit 11 of the endoscope 1 are easier than in the conventional case.

Even if 4 is arranged in a part of the gripping part 12 of FIG. 1A, the wire attaching / detaching part 24 may be arranged in a position where the hand holding the gripping part 12 does not touch. For example, FIG.
In the state of (A), the palm of the grasping user's palm is arranged on the back side of the paper surface, and in this case, the connecting member 22 is provided in the vicinity of the portion where the rotating shaft 23 of FIG. 1 (A) is arranged. By arranging the wire attaching / detaching portion 24 of the user, the palm of the user who holds the holding portion 12 is placed on the wire attaching / detaching portion 2 of the connecting member 22.
There is no danger of hitting 4. Furthermore, in this case, since the fingers of the user's hand holding the grip portion 12 do not touch the wire attaching / detaching portion 24, they do not interfere. As described above, the wire attaching / detaching portion 2 of the connecting member 22 is provided on the surface of the gripping portion 12 on the side opposite to the contact surface with the palm even though it is on the gripping portion 12.
4 may be arranged.

It shows a modified example of the hood 8. In this, a ridge is provided at the tip of the hood 8, and a portion corresponding to the opposite side in the observation screen 31 of the monitor of the endoscope 1 is a ridge 34.
The portion corresponding to the diagonal direction is the valley portion 35. In this case, even if the maximum protrusion amount of the hood 8 is the same as that in FIG. 1B, when viewed on the observation screen 31 of the monitor of the endoscope 1, the diagonal amount is as shown in FIG. 2B. A wider field of view can be secured depending on the direction.

That is, in the present embodiment, the flexible hood 41 is provided in the distal end hard portion 5 of the endoscope 1, and the claw member 46 at the distal end of the operation wire 10 is inserted into the through hole 45 of the flexible hood 41, whereby the flexible hood 41 is inserted. Since the claw member 46 on the side of the operation wire 10 is detachably connected, after the endoscope inspection, by removing the claw member 46 to the outside of the through hole 45 of the flexible hood 41, the distal end of the insertion portion 2 is hardened. The entire endoscope 1 can be efficiently cleaned and disinfected with the hood 41 removed from the portion 5. Therefore, in the present embodiment as well as in the first embodiment, it is easier to clean and disinfect the distal end hard portion 5 of the endoscope 1 as compared with the related art.
