Abstract

ーを区画する複数のスリットを有する滅菌した調節可能
な縫合糸一方向保持装置と、縫合糸の少なくとも一端に
固定するために上記縫合糸保持装置を使用する方法を提
供する。
Description
るための手術用装置(器具)に関し、より詳しくは、本
発明は、関節鏡手術で使用するために適当な調節可能な
縫合糸一方向保持装置およびその使用方法に関する。
靭帯を骨に、軟組織を骨に付けたり、あるいは靭帯破断
を修復しなければならない。そのために外科医は、その
細さと十分な強さから縫合糸をよく使用する。外科医
は、何か所も結節を作ることによって縫合糸を適所に固
定する。しかしながら、関節鏡で結節を作ることは、ア
クセスが足らず、よく眼に見えないためにしばしば困難
である。これらの手順の多くは、これらの困難を回避す
るため体外結節に依存する。望ましくないことに体外結
節は時間がかかり、しかも難しい。結節プッシャーと縫
合糸つかみができても外科医が関節鏡による結節を素早
く作ることはまだ困難である。従って、関節鏡手術手順
で縫合糸結節に代わる装置を提供することは当技術に有
意な貢献を与えるだろう。
手術手順で縫合糸結節に代わる装置およびその使用方法
を提供することを目的とする。

する錐台を具備し、通路が前記端部からベースの方に伸
び、前記端部が、前記端部からベースへ伸びて少なくと
も一つの柔軟なフィンガーを区画する複数のスリットを
有する滅菌した調節可能な縫合糸一方向保持装置および
その使用方法を発明した。

な縫合糸一方向保持装置は端部4とベース6を有する錐
台から成る。その端部4をベース6に連結することは、
ベース6の中心から端部4に伸びる中心線10の周りに
略同心の通路8で行う。端部4は少なくとも2個のスリ
ット12と14を有している。そのスリットは一般に端
部4からベース6の方へ伸びている。端部4は好適に4
個のスリット12,14,16および18を有し、それ
らのスリットは、図2に示されるように、フィンガー
(指状突起)20,22,24および26をそれぞれ区
画している。フィンガー20,22,24および26は
部位20a,22a,24aおよび26aを有し、それ
らの部位は、編組縫合糸28が端部4からベース6の方
へ進めないが、フィンガー20,22,24および26
の柔軟性から、ベース6から端部4の方へ進むことがで
きるように編組縫合糸28を取付けるようにしている。
縫合糸保持装置は、編組縫合糸28が容易に通路8を通
ることができるのに十分であるが、通路8内の縫合糸が
ベース6の方へ移動する際に柔軟なフィンガー20,2
2,24および26を編組縫合糸28に噛み合うことが
できるのに十分小さな直径の通路8を有する必要があ
る。

解けるのを好適に防止し、それによって縫合糸結節保持
装置のグリップを外す。

しい吸収されないポリマーはナイロン、ポリエステルお
よびポリロピレンからなる群から選択された材料を有す
るが、その材料には限定されない。これらの全ての材料
は、縫合糸あるいは埋め込むことができる別の医療ジグ
として用いた場合、生物学的に適合することがわかっ
た。

反応を起こさない材料から作られる請求項1記載の滅菌
した調節可能な縫合糸一方向保持装置。

Claims (2)
- 【請求項1】 編組縫合糸を固定する関節鏡手術で使用
するのに適当な滅菌した調節可能な縫合糸一方向保持装
置であって、一端とベースを有する錐台を具備し、通路
が前記端部からベースの方に伸び、前記端部が、前記端
部からベースへ伸びて少なくとも一つの柔軟なフィンガ
ーを区画する複数のスリットを有する滅菌した調節可能
な縫合糸一方向保持装置。 - 【請求項2】 組織を通過した縫合糸の一端をその組織
に対して固定する方法であって、一端とベースを有する
錐台を具備し、通路が前記端部からベースの方に伸び、
前記端部が、前記端部からベースの方へ伸び、前記端部
が、前記端部からベースへ伸びて少なくとも二つの柔軟
なフィンガーを組織の方に向いたベースを備えて縫合糸
上で区画する複数のスリットを有する滅菌した調節可能
な縫合糸一方向保持装置を配置し、前記ベースが前記組
織に接触するまで前記縫合糸を前記ベースから前記端部
に前記通路を介して通すことによって前記縫合糸保持装
置を前記縫合糸に対して進める縫合糸の一端を固定する
方法。
