Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.(a) 主たる表面と、 (b) 前記主たる表面上に配設した絶縁被覆と、 (c) 前記絶縁被覆に隣接させて配設した前記絶縁被覆の平均寿命より短い平均 寿命を有する別の被覆とを備え、該別の被覆の目視検査によって前記絶縁被覆の 平均余命が信頼性のおけるレベル以下になった状態が判明するようにした、 ことを特徴とするデバイス。 2.前記絶縁被覆と前記別の被覆とを互いに異なった色にしたことを特徴とす る請求項1記載のデバイス。 3.前記別の被覆の一部を前記絶縁被覆に連続させて配設したことを特徴とす る請求項1記載のデバイス。 4.前記別の被覆の一部を前記絶縁被覆の一部の上に直接重ねて配設したこと を特徴とする請求項1記載のデバイス。 5.該デバイスが、主たる外側作用面を有する細長形状のボディを備えた医用 デバイスであることを特徴とする請求項1記載のデバイス。 6.前記第1層が前記主たる外側作用面を実質的に覆っていることを特徴とす る請求項5記載の医用器具。 7.前記第2層が前記第1層の一部を覆っていることを特徴とする請求項5記 載の医用器具。 8.前記第2層が前記第1層の一部を覆っていることを特徴とする請求項7記 載の医用器具。 9.前記第2層が前記第1層の全体を覆っていることを特徴とする請求項8記 載の医用器具。 10.前記第2層が前記第1層の全体を覆っていることを特徴とする請求項6 記載の医用器具。 11.前記第2層が絶縁層であることを特徴とする請求項5記載の医用器具。 12.前記第2層が絶縁層であることを特徴とする請求項6記載の医用器具。 13.前記細長形状のボディが複数の部品で構成されていることを特徴とする 請求項5記載の医用器具。 14.前記細長形状のボディが2個の主要部品を含んでいることを特徴とする 請求項5記載の医用器具。 15.前記細長形状のボディが、取り外し可能な先端部材と、この取り外し可 能な先端部材が取付けられるメイン・ボディとを含んでいることを特徴とする請 求項5記載の医用器具。 16.前記主たる外側作用面が前記メイン・ボディの表面上に存在することを 特徴とする請求項15記載の医用器具。 17.医用器具の絶縁被覆の残余寿命を判定する方法において、 (a) 前記器具の目視可能表面上に前記絶縁被覆を配設するステップと、 (b) 前記絶縁被覆の平均寿命より短い平均寿命を有し、目視検査によって平均 余命が明らかな、別材料を用意するステップと、 (c) 前記器具の目視可能表面上に前記別材料を配設するステップと、 (d) 前記目視可能表面上の前記別材料を周期的に検査して、その平均余命を目 視検査で判定するステップと、 を含んでいることを特徴とする方法。 18.前記器具の前記目視可能表面上に前記別材料を配設する前記ステップが 、前記目視可能表面上に前記別材料を収縮包装法を用いて配設するステップを含 んでいることを特徴とする請求項17記載の方法。 19.前記器具を、使い捨て可能な先端部分と反復使用可能なメイン・ボディ とを含む複数の部品から成るものとして形成するステップを更に含み、前記絶縁 被覆を配設する前記ステップが、該絶縁被覆を前記メイン・ボディの作用面に被 着するステップを含んでいることを特徴とする請求項17記載の方法。 20.前記器具の前記目視可能表面上に前記別材料を配設する前記ステップが 、前記絶縁被覆の上に前記別材料を配設するステップを含んでいることを特徴と する請求項19記載の方法。 21.前記器具の前記目視可能表面上に前記別材料を配設する前記ステップが 、前記絶縁被覆の略々全体の上に前記別材料を配設するステップを含んでいるこ とを特徴とする請求項19記載の方法。
