Acute viral respiratory disease is the most common of human illnesses, and all acute illnesses
Of which, it is 1/2 or more. Of acute respiratory illness in the United States
The incidence is 3 to 5.6 cases per person per year. The highest rate occurs at 1 year old
<6 years old (6.1 to 8.3 cases per year), gradually decreasing, high until 6 years old
There is. Adults in the total population have 3-4 diseases per person per year.
The prevalence of acute respiratory illness is 30-50% of the causes of lost work time in adults,
It accounts for 60-80% of the time lost from children's schools.
2/3 to 3/4 of cases of acute respiratory disease caused by virus
It is estimated that Over 200 antigenically distinctive viruses from 8 different genes
Ruth has been reported to cause acute respiratory illness, and more drugs will be described in the future
I think that the. The majority of these viral infections involve the upper respiratory tract but lower respiratory tract disease.
Diseases can also occur, especially in young people and in certain epidemiological settings.
Diseases caused by respiratory viruses have traditionally been associated with "cold", pharyngitis,
Pseudomembranous laryngitis (laryngobronchitis) Tracheitis, bronchiolitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, etc.
It was divided into a number of different syndromes. These common categories of diseases are
Has some epidemiologic and clinical utility, for example pseudomembranous laryngitis
It occurs only in young children and has a characteristic clinical course. Also, some kind of
Seems to be more relevant to irs, eg, "cold" due to rhinovirus
While there are several types of respiratory diseases, such as adenovirus in recruits,
Some occupy characteristic epidemiological niches. According to the main respiratory virus group
Table 1 summarizes the syndromes most commonly associated with infections. Also related to these
Nonetheless, most respiratory viruses cause more than one type of respiratory disease.
And often present in patients with the same characteristics of several types of disease.
Can be. Furthermore, due to epidemiological settings one group of viruses other than another

The clinical illness caused is such that the etiological diagnosis is based on clinical evidence alone.
It is rare to be sufficiently distinct to allow. In general, trust the experimental method
Then, a specific virus diagnosis should be confirmed.
