Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.(a)約10〜約25%の未架橋ポリメチルメタクリレートが溶解されている メチルメタクリレートを含有しかつその中にメチルメタクリレート 100重量部当 りy重量部の連鎖停止剤と0.01〜1.0 重量部の架橋剤が分散されているシロップ であって; xを架橋剤の量とするとyが(x+2)以下であり、そして xが0.01〜0.5 の場合yは0.01以上であり、 xが 0.5〜1.0 の場合yは(0.58x−0.28)である、 シロップ;ならびに (b)90ミクロンの開口を有するふるいを通過し、最終組成物に対して約20〜 約60重量%のアルミナ三水和物からなる充実粒子; を含んで成る、熱成形可能なシートまたはスラブを製造するのに用いる組成物 。 2.xが0.25〜0.4 の数値である請求の範囲1記載の組成物。 3.yが 0.2〜0.35の数値である請求の範囲1記載の組成物。 4.前記充実粒子が、60ミクロンの開口を有するふるいを通過する請求の範囲 1記載の組成物。 5.(1)少なくとも60重量%がメチルメタクリレートであるエチレン系不飽 和単量体中に溶解されたポリメチルメタクリレートのシロップを製造し; (2)前記シロップに、 (a)分散液中の単量体 100重量部当り約0.01〜約1.0 重量部の架橋剤; (b)分散液中の単量体の 100重量部当りの数値すなわち(x+0.2)まで の数値に等しい量の連鎖停止剤〔こゝでxは(a)における架橋剤の量であり、 xが0.01〜0.5 の場合少なくとも0.01であ るかまたはxが 0.5〜1.0 の場合少なくとも(0.58x−0.28)である〕; (c)90ミクロンの開口を有するふるいを通過し、かつ最終組成物の約20〜 約60重量%を構成するのに充分な量のアルミナ三水和物を含有する充実粒子;な らびに (d)前記シロップの粘度を、少なくとも 1,000センチポワズであるが約10 ,000センチポワズ以下にするのに充分な量のヒュームドシリカ; を添加して前記シロップ中に分散させ; (3)前記シロップをシート成形型中に入れ;次いで (4)前記シロップ中の前記エチレン系不飽和単量体を、前記架橋剤と前記連 鎖停止剤の存在下で重合させて、実質的に微細粒子の外観を有する充実シートを 製造する; ことを含んでなる熱成形可能な合成の無機物質シートまは無機物質スラブの製 造方法。 6.ステップ(2)(d)で添加したヒュームドシリカの量が2500〜5000の粘 度を得るのに充分な量である請求の範囲5記載の方法。 7.存在するアルミナ三水和物の量が最終組成物の25〜40%である請求の範囲 5記載の方法。 8.xが0.25〜0.4 の数値でありそしてyが 0.2〜0.35の数値である請求の範 囲5記載の方法。 9.前記充実粒子が、60ミクロンの開口を有するふるいを通過する請求の範囲 5記載の方法。 10.ステップ(3)と(4)を、二つの連続スチールベルトを備えている、シ ートまたはスラブの成形機で行う請求の範囲5記載の方法。 11.請求の範囲1に記載の組成物をシートまたはスラブの成形型 に入れ、次いで前記メチルメタクリレートを、前記架橋剤および前記連鎖移動剤 の存在下で重合させることによって製造した実質的に微細粒子の熱成形可能なシ ートまたはスラブ。 12.請求の範囲5の方法で製造された実質的に微細粒子の熱成形可能なシート またはスラブ。 13.請求の範囲6の方法で製造された実質的に微細粒子の熱成形可能なシート またはスラブ。 14.請求の範囲7の方法で製造された実質的に微細粒子の熱成形可能なシート またはスラブ。 15.請求の範囲8の方法で製造された実質的に微細粒子の熱成形可能なシート またはスラブ。 16.請求の範囲9の方法で製造された実質的に微細粒子の成形可能なシートま たはスラブ。 17.請求の範囲10の方法で製造された実質的に微細粒子の成形可能なシートま たはスラブ。
