A snowboard binding comprising a base plate, a high back whose lower portion is tiltably supported by a rear portion of the base plate, and an ankle strap having a lower end portion attached to the high back. 2. A base plate, a highback in which a lower portion of the base plate is tiltably supported at a rear portion of the base plate, and an ankle strap having a lower end portion thereof attached to a portion of the highback extending further below the pivotal support portion.
