In step 201, the title of the CD software shown in FIG. 5 is displayed. This title display reads out the type of the application CD mounted in the autochanger 14 and displays the type.
If the application CDs of the gourmet map, the hotel map, and the diary are installed, they are displayed as shown in the figure. Then, as in step 108 described above in step 202, the touch switch 11, the cursor key 1
Any of them is selected by an operation such as 0a. Here, when the golf course guide of No. 1 is selected, the system ID stored in the first part of the golf course guide application CD is read in step 203. The system ID is used to check whether or not the user who has created the application CD is authorized to create the application CD, and all application CDs have this system ID. This system ID includes an access level described later. Based on the system ID, in the next step 205, it is checked whether the system ID is a permitted ID. If the ID is not a permitted ID, the process proceeds to step 206, where an error message is displayed on the screen of the CRT 9, and the process is terminated. Therefore, in this case, the processing is not executed by the application CD.

This access level limits the commands that can be used by the user who created the application CD. The access level is divided into, for example, the following three levels, which can be used according to each access level. Command is set. Here, at the access level 1, the basic command is a command such as a four arithmetic operation or a function operation such as a trigonometric function. The service command includes graphic operations such as a straight line, a circle, and a rectangle, a touch switch 11, and a cursor key 10.
Commands for standard input operation such as a, beep sound operation, and the like. This access level 1 is the lowest access level. Access level 2 is access level 1
In addition to the commands that can be used in, commands for accessing vehicle information such as map access and the current vehicle location can be used. The access level 3 enables a command for memo data access in addition to the commands available at the access level 2. The memo data access command is used to read and write destination coordinates in navigation and to read and write registered coordinates.

In FIG. 6, in step 210, the instruction code indicated by the IP is read. Here, the instruction code is composed of a command / parameter division and a body part as shown in FIG. command/
The parameter division indicates whether the content of the body portion is a command or a parameter. For example, a parameter is represented as 0 and a command is represented as 1. In the case of a command, the body part is a command ID indicating the type of the command.
, And in the case of a parameter, contains the parameter value. The parameter value includes a direct value of the numerical value itself and an address (indirect value) of the memory when indicating a value stored in one of the memories.

In the case of a parameter, it is checked in step 212 whether the parameter value is a code expression of a parameter value permitted to be used by the user. In step 213, if the parameter value is an indirect value, it is checked whether the address is a user-usable address. If the address is usable by the user, the parameter value is read by the address in step 214, and if the parameter value is a direct value, the direct value itself is stacked on the stack.
In the case of an indirect value, the data content of the specified address is pushed onto the stack. If it is determined in any of steps 212 and 213 that the user is not usable, the execution by the instruction code is not performed. This is to protect the system of the computer 4 from executing the application program.

If so, a parameter check for the command is performed (steps 217, 220, 223). This parameter check is to check whether the parameter is usable or not.For example, when the map display command is used to display a map, whether the size of the map is the size prepared by the system side Whether the storage location of the coordinate data indicating the current location is a place where the user can use it is determined if the current location read command, and a plurality of touch switches 11 and the remote control switch 10 are determined if the location is a key input command. A check is made to see if a key number that can be used when a number is assigned to a switch or key is indicated.
These steps 217, 220, and 223 are also provided to protect the system of the computer 4 from executing the application program. The command is executed for those determined to be OK in these checks. (Steps 218, 221,

Is read, and the above-described processing is performed by the instruction code. Steps 226 to 230 are performed so that, when a condition (operation prohibition condition) that is restricted when this type of display system is mounted on the vehicle occurs, the restriction can be performed even when the application program is executed. It is provided in. Although not shown in the figure, such restrictions are also applied to system applications. As such operation prohibition, for example, there is a key input operation prohibition by the touch switch 11 and the remote control switch 10 during traveling. Therefore, in this case, step 226
It is determined whether or not the vehicle speed is not zero. If the vehicle speed is 0, that is, if the vehicle is stopped, the condition is not satisfied and the routine proceeds to step 227, where the operation prohibition flag is turned off. On the other hand, when the vehicle is running and the vehicle speed is not 0, the condition is satisfied and the routine proceeds to step 228, where it is determined whether or not the operation inhibition flag is on. This is to start the execution of an interrupt process described later only when the operation prohibition flag changes from off to on. Therefore, when it is determined in step 228 that the operation prohibition flag has been turned off, the operation prohibition flag is turned on in step 229, and in step 230, the IP is set to start the operation prohibition interrupt processing. To change. Here, the operation prohibition interrupt processing means that, when executing an application program, an operation prohibition interrupt processing program is first read from the application CD and registered in a predetermined area in the RAM in the computer 4 as described later. By executing the operation prohibition interrupt processing program, for example, as shown in FIG. 10, a key input disabled message is displayed on a part of the screen of the CRT 9.

That is, in the execution of the key input command (step 224), as shown in detail in FIG. 8, the operation prohibition flag is checked in step 250, and when the operation prohibition flag is off, steps 251 and 252 are executed. A key code is set by a normal key input process, and the key input process is performed by the application program according to the key code. When the operation prohibition flag is on, the key code is set to no key input in step 253. Therefore, the key input operation process is not performed.
