2. Description of the Related Art As a conventional method for treating wastewater containing a biodegradable organic substance, a coagulation sedimentation treatment, a Fenton treatment utilizing a Fenton reaction, an ozone treatment utilizing a strong oxidizing power of ozone, and the like are known. . It is also known that active species such as hydroxyl radicals are generated by a photochemical or chemical reaction to oxidatively decompose organic substances. However, the coagulation-sedimentation method has the characteristic that the amount of organic matter that can be removed per unit sludge amount is small, and there is a problem that the amount of sludge generated due to processing a large amount of organic matter becomes enormous. In the Fenton method, the cost related to hydrogen peroxide and ferrous salt necessary for the Fenton reaction is expensive, and a large amount of sludge is generated as in the coagulation sedimentation method to recover the iron ions used in the Fenton reaction. Occur. In addition, since the active species generated by the Fenton method is partially used for oxidizing ferrous ions, there is a problem that the reaction efficiency of the active species is low.

Further, in a method of generating an active species such as a hydroxyl radical by a photochemical reaction or a chemical reaction, the cost for irradiating an oxidizing agent or an ultraviolet ray is expensive, and it is difficult to put it to practical use. There is a problem. In the ozone treatment, a treatment target portion is limited to an unsaturated bond portion, and cannot be applied to a biodegradable substance having various structures. Furthermore, these treatment methods do not have a high level of organic substance removal capability in terms of cost, and thus, in many cases, activated carbon adsorption treatment is provided in the post-treatment.However, since organic substances are not highly removed, activated carbon is not removed. However, there is a problem that the replacement cost is high.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS As described above, according to the present invention,
Biological treatment can be performed while modifying biodegradable organic matter into easily biodegradable organic matter with ozone, and then biological treatment can be performed while reforming it into easily biodegradable organic matter with active species. The required processing cost per unit is reduced. Further, by circulating the treated water between the ozone treatment step and the first biological treatment step or between the reforming step and the second biological treatment step, the hard biological decomposition in each of the first treatment step and the second treatment step is performed. The amount of ozone and the amount of active species required for reforming a water-soluble substance into a readily biodegradable substance can be made suitable for organic substances of various properties contained in raw water. By applying a suitable amount of ozone and an amount of active species, it is possible to introduce and remove the ozone and the active species in the first and second biological treatment steps. In addition, it is possible to further reduce the amount of ozone in the ozone treatment step, the amount of oxidizing agent used in the reforming step, the amount of ultraviolet irradiation, and the like.

[0008] Further, by providing the second processing step after the first processing step, in the first processing step, only the bio-degradable organic substance that can be modified into a biodegradable organic substance by ozone is treated. It can be. Further, in the second treatment step, only the hardly biodegradable organic substance which cannot be modified into the easily biodegradable organic substance by the ozone remaining in the first treatment step can be treated. This allows
Until now, raw water that had been difficult to reform into easily biodegradable organic substances only by a treatment method corresponding to the first treatment step,
With only the treatment method corresponding to the second treatment step, it became possible to treat raw water, which can be treated but the treatment cost became enormous, at low cost. This is mainly due to the fact that the efficiency of reforming a hardly biodegradable substance into a readily biodegradable substance by ozone and hydroxyl radicals differs depending on the substance to be reformed. As a result, diligent research has confirmed that ozone has a higher reforming efficiency than hydroxy radicals, and that for substances difficult to be reformed by ozone, hydroxy radicals have higher reforming efficiency than ozone. It is because.

This effect can be further enhanced by circulating water between the ozone treatment step and the first biological treatment step and between the reforming step and the second biological treatment step. This is because the biodegradable substances in the effluent of the ozone treatment step and the reforming step are frequently removed in the first biological treatment step and the second biological treatment step. The proportion of hardly biodegradable organic matter in the effluent of the treatment process (ozone treatment process, reforming process influent water) increases,
This is because the reforming target in each reforming step is further narrowed down to the hardly biodegradable organic matter. Here, in the ozone treatment step and the reforming step, the amount of the oxidizing agent and the amount of the ultraviolet irradiation required for reforming the hardly biodegradable substance into the easily biodegradable substance are determined by the amount of the organic matter in the raw water. The amount is extremely small compared to the one that completely decomposes to the treated water quality, and the treatment cost in the ozone treatment step and the reforming step is not high.

Further, the treated water is further subjected to oxidative decomposition treatment, activated carbon treatment, biological activated carbon treatment, treatment of residual organic matter by aeration treatment, and removal of residual oxidizing agent, thereby improving the safety and purification of treated water. Can be improved. That is, by using the method for treating wastewater containing a biodegradable organic substance according to the present invention, the organic matter in the wastewater is treated at low cost and at a high level. In addition, some organic substances are oxidatively decomposed into water and carbon dioxide gas due to the reforming treatment. Such auxiliary effects also lower the concentration of organic substances in the wastewater and reduce the required processing cost. Is done. Note that the active species used in the present invention mainly has a oxidizing power and can react with a part other than the unsaturated bond in the organic substance, and means a radical such as a hydroxy radical. In particular, there is no particular limitation as long as it has a capability of modifying a hardly biodegradable organic substance into a readily biodegradable organic substance.

The catalyst used in the reforming step is, for example, a catalyst that promotes the generation of active species from an oxidizing agent by irradiating ultraviolet rays such as manganese dioxide, activated carbon, a precious metal-containing solid, a metal-containing solid, and a metal ion. An effective catalyst can be used regardless of a catalyst that generates active species, for example, a titanium dioxide-containing solid or the like, and a homogeneous or heterogeneous catalyst. In the present invention, the type and amount of active species in the reforming step are determined by the properties of the raw water to be treated, for example, COD.
(Chemical oxygen demand) can be selected variously. For example, the case where the COD Mn of raw water is about 10 mg / liter and hydrogen peroxide and ozone are used as active species will be described below.

By using the method for treating wastewater containing organic substances which are hardly biodegradable according to the present invention, the organic matter in the wastewater can be treated at a low cost, with a low amount of generated sludge and highly. That is, in the ozone treatment step, the hardly biodegradable substance in the raw water is reformed into a readily biodegradable substance, and in the first biological treatment step, the readily biodegradable substance in the effluent from the ozone treatment step is removed. Next, in the reforming step, a substance that is difficult to be reformed by ozone remaining in the effluent of the first biological treatment step is reformed into an easily biodegradable substance by an active species such as a hydroxyl radical. Biodegradable substances in the effluent of the reforming process are removed.

As a result, raw water that has been difficult to convert into a readily biodegradable organic substance using only the treatment method corresponding to the first treatment step, and only the treatment method corresponding to the second treatment step. In addition, it is possible to treat raw water, which can be treated but has an enormous treatment cost, at low cost. This effect is further enhanced by circulating water between the ozone treatment step and the first biological treatment step, and between the reforming step and the second biological treatment step. In short, according to the method of treating wastewater containing a hardly biodegradable organic substance according to the present invention, advanced treatment can be performed at low cost.
