Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply fix an electric fusion coupling at a thermoplastic resin pipe even without a complicated clamp jig while standing up to some degree of a shock and facilitating molding. SOLUTION: An electric fusion coupling with a clamping member comprises an electric fusion coupling member 1 which is fusion-joined with a thermoplastic resin pipe and in which a heating coil for thermal fusion is embedded; and clamp members fixed at the two side ends of the electric fusion member 1 and fixing the thermoplastic resin pipe. A fitting-in part is arranged at least one of the electric fusion coupling member 1 and the clamp member and a lock part 4 inserted in and locked at the fitting-in part is arranged at the other.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, polyethylene, polypropylene, and the like have been used for piping such as gas pipes, water pipes, sewer pipes, and hot water pipes.
Thermoplastic resin pipes such as polyvinyl chloride and polyvinylidene fluoride are used. In the piping work of these thermoplastic resin pipes, an electric fusion joint in which a heating wire is embedded in a joint for joining the thermoplastic resin pipes has been developed and widely used. In the fusion work of such an electric fusion joint,
In order to prevent the tube to be welded from coming out of the electric fusion joint, dedicated clamp jigs having different shapes corresponding to the electric fusion joint have been used.

[0003] By using the above clamp jig,
Although the joint and the tube to be fused can be securely joined, there are the following problems. 1) The clamp jig needs to be mounted until the cooling of the joint is completed (usually 5 to 10 minutes), and cannot be refilled immediately after the construction, which causes a waiting time for the construction. 2) To perform fusion continuously, various types of clamps are required. 3) When the construction work is performed near where the branch pipe joint is buried, the work becomes a hindrance to the work, and the branch pipe joint may come off the welded pipe by hitting an operator, a machine, or the like.

Therefore, a method of preventing the connected pipe from coming off by interposing a locking member in the gap between the inner peripheral surface of the joint receiving port and the outer peripheral surface of the end of the connected pipe (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 5-302694). A method of shrinking the inner diameter of a joint by tightening a taper screw and fixing the joint by clamping (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. Hei 6-3001)
No. 77 gazette) and the like, and a joint and a clamping method that can be easily constructed have been proposed.

However, in the above-mentioned joint, since the joint and the clamp jig are integrally formed or require screw processing, the shape of the molded product becomes complicated, and the molding is troublesome. Since clamping is performed with screws, the clamping force varies depending on the joint shape and the operator. There were drawbacks such as.
