実施例に限定されるものではない。実施例1 ラベンダー抽出液の製造 ラベンダー(高砂薬業)240gにエタノール1800ml
を加え、40℃の加温下に10日間静置することによ
り、浸漬抽出を行った。抽出液を濾過し、1325mlの
抽出液を得た。この抽出液を60℃の加温下に減圧濃縮
して乾固した後、水600mlを加え、4℃にて48時間
静置した。生成した不溶性の沈殿物を濾過して除去し、
580mlの濾液を得た。これに蒸留水580mlを加え、

0-7培地に置き換え、5%CO2下に37℃で3日間培
養した。次いで、培養上清を回収し、培養上清中のヒア
ルロン酸含量を今成らの方法[Biol.Pharm.Bull., 17(1
2), 1663-1665 (1994)]によって測定した。即ち、回収
した培養上清を、プロテアーゼ処理およびコンドロイチ
ナーゼ処理することによって、ヒアルロン酸をヒアルロ
ン酸不飽和二糖(ΔDi−HA)に変換し、その量(ピーク
強度)をHPLCにて測定した。なお、ラベンダー抽出
液を添加せずに上記と同様に処理して得た結果を対照と
した。これらの測定結果を図1にグラフとして示した。
このグラフから明らかなように、0.5%ラベンダー抽
出液を添加した場合、無添加に比べてヒアルロン酸不飽
和二糖が43%増えることがわかった。即ち、ラベンダ
ー抽出液は、正常ヒト皮膚線維芽細胞のヒアルロン酸合
