Description of the Related Art In a wiring harness for an automobile, when wiring the wiring harness through a panel or the like that separates an engine room and a vehicle compartment of a vehicle, a rubber grommet is attached to a through hole formed in the panel and the grommet is passed through the grommet. The wiring harness is wired to prevent water from entering the cabin.

Is provided to infiltrate each gap of the electric wire w. Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 6, an elastic cap having a plurality of holes through which each electric wire of the wire harness is inserted one by one is used, and the elastic cap is attached to the elastic cap with the electric wires passed through the holes. There is also provided one that is fitted with a fluid sealing material from the enlarged diameter portion side to the inside of the elastic cap. In this case, complete waterproofing cannot be expected because there is a possibility that the water will flow out of each gap until the resin is cured. Therefore, generally, a grommet is attached to a predetermined position of the wire harness W / H as shown in FIG. 6 by using a low-viscosity two-component urethane (two-component epoxy, two-component silicon, or the like). 1 is filled while mixing a two-part urethane or the like, and then dried and cured after filling.

Very difficult to handle. In addition, there is a problem in that the equipment for mixing the two liquids is large-sized and cannot be operated on a wire harness assembly line, and a separate process must be provided to fill the sealant.

In addition, a separate elastic cap is required, and the number of steps for inserting each electric wire through the cap and the step of fitting the cap to the grommet are increased. In addition, there is a problem that the diameter of the enlarged portion of the grommet is increased by an amount corresponding to the gap between the electric wires, and the grommet is enlarged.

That is, when laying the electric wire group at the time of assembling the harness, the electric wire group of the part to be waterproofed between the lines is adjacently arranged in a row, and a water stop having a required viscosity with respect to the parallel electric wire group. An agent is applied so as to penetrate between the electric wires, and then a portion of the waterproofing agent applied is covered with an elastic foam material sheet, rounded into a circular section, and passed through the grommet.

A waterproofing agent is applied to
When applied so as to penetrate into the gaps between the electric wires, the waterproofing agent can be surely applied to the surfaces of the electric wires and between the electric wires. afterwards,
When an electric foam sheet having elasticity is put on these electric wire groups and taken out, the electric wire groups are taken out without attaching the waterproofing agent to the hands of the workers, and are arranged in a line from the foam material sheet on the front side. Can be easily rounded into a circular cross section, and the flow and diffusion of the water stopping agent can be prevented to some extent.

However, usually, in order to speed up the working process, the work for mounting the grommet is performed while the waterproofing agent is not completely cured. Is performed. At this time, the reduced diameter portion of the grommet is pushed and spread, and after the grommet is inserted, the contraction force of the grommet is applied to the waterproofing agent, so that the waterproofing agent easily flows in the axial direction. When the waterproofing agent flows,
The outer diameter of the electric wire group decreases, and a gap is generated between the electric wire group and the inner peripheral surface of the grommet. However, in the present invention, since the electric wire group coated with the waterproofing agent is wrapped by the elastic foam material sheet, this foam material sheet is interposed between the electric wire group and the grommet, and the waterproofing agent flows. Accordingly, even if a gap is generated, the gap is filled with the foamed material sheet having elasticity, whereby the gap can be reliably prevented from being generated inside the gap grommet.

Therefore, when the water-stopping agent flows, the foam material sheet is restored, and the gap generated by the water-stopping agent flowing out is filled, so that no gap is generated and the waterproof performance can be improved.

Can be applied. That is, the waterproofing agent application step which had to be conventionally performed in a separate step can be performed on the wire harness assembly line, and the waterproofing step can be simplified and speeded up.

In fact, 10 g-3 g in one conventional grommet
According to the method of the present invention, 0 g of the water-stopping agent has been filled, but only about 5 g to 10 g is sufficient. As described above, since the amount of the used waterproofing agent can be reduced by half, the cost can be reduced.
