At present, an infinity system is often used as an optical system of a microscope. In this case, the light emitted from the microscope objective lens becomes a parallel light flux, which forms an intermediate image of the sample by the imaging lens. Usually, the reticle is arranged on the image plane of this intermediate image. Then, after the light that has passed through the reticle is converted into a parallel light beam by a predetermined lens again, an optical system such as an image rotator or an intermediate variable power is arranged and guided to a second objective lens (imaging lens) provided in a lens barrel. .

In such an arrangement of each optical system, when an observation image is to be rotated by an image rotator,
The index provided on the reticle also rotates with the observation image, which causes a problem that the index becomes difficult to see. Here, by arranging the image rotator in front of the reticle in the microscope optical path, the above-described problem is solved, but it is difficult to arrange the image rotator between the objective lens and the second objective lens due to optical performance. This leads to an increase in the size of the device. Also, when a reticle is arranged on the eyepiece image plane formed by the second objective lens in the lens barrel, data drawn on the reticle cannot be transferred to a photographic device or a television camera attached to a microscope.

A sample 102 placed on a stage 101
Is illuminated by light from the lamp house 103 via the condenser lens 104. Light from the sample 102 is converted into a parallel light beam by the objective lens 105 and is incident on the total reflection prism 1 provided in the microscope main body 100. FIG. 2 is a sectional view taken along the line AA of FIG. As shown in FIG. 2, light from the sample passing vertically upward through the objective lens 105 enters the total reflection prism 1 from below (to the rear of the paper in FIG. 1) the total reflection prism 1 shown in FIG. . The total reflection prism 1 deflects this light in a horizontal direction (a direction parallel to the plane of FIG. 1) and projects the light onto the imaging lens 2. The light passing through the imaging lens 2 is reflected by a mirror 3 and forms an image on an imaging surface 4. A reticle R is disposed at the position of the image plane 4. Indices such as scales and coordinates are drawn on the reticle R, for example, and can be observed from the eyepiece 108 provided in the lens barrel 106 together with the image of the sample. The index is generally a scale, a mask for a photograph finder, a grain scale, or the like, but other information such as a date and a title can be imprinted as data on an image of a sample. The use of such a reticle to capture the information of the spectator's preference on the sample image
This is particularly effective when photographing an image of a sample.

The index formed on the reticle R is usually formed by depositing a scale or the like on a glass surface. However, when imprinting a large number of unspecified information such as dates and titles, a colorless transparent glass or the like is used. It may be simply written by a pen with a pen on plastic. Of course, a liquid crystal screen may be arranged in the optical path as the reticle R, and various data may be input from the outside to observe the data and the image of the sample at the same time.

The reticle R is held on the lens 2 by the holding member 18.
Is provided so as to be rotatable with respect to the optical axis. A gear is formed at a part of a peripheral portion of the holding member 18 and meshes with a gear 17 described later. The light that has passed through the reticle R is reflected by the mirror 5 and becomes a parallel light beam by the lens 6. This parallel light beam enters the image rotator prism 8 via the mirror 7. The image rotator prism 8 is fixed to the holding member 11 and is provided rotatably with respect to the optical axis of the lens 6.

The light emitted from the image rotator prism 8 enters a zoom lens group 9. The observer rotates the cam 13 by rotating the adjustment handle 12, moves the zoom lens group 9 in the optical axis direction, and enlarges or reduces the image of the sample. The light that has passed through the zoom lens group 9 passes through a pentaprism 10, is deflected vertically upward by the total reflection prism 1, and is incident on a lens barrel 106 shown in FIG. Then, the image of the sample is formed again by the second objective lens provided in the lens barrel 106, and the observer moves the eyepiece 10.
The image of this sample is observed from 8.

Returning to FIG. 2, a mechanism for preventing the index provided on the reticle R from rotating with the rotation of the sample image will be described. The gear formed on a part of the holding member 11 meshes with a gear 16a having a larger diameter among the gears 16 having two gears 16a and 16b arranged coaxially with different diameters. The small-diameter gear 16 b meshes with the gear 17, and the gear 17 meshes with the gear provided on the holding member 18. Therefore, when the image rotator prism 8 and the holding member 11 rotate, the rotational force is transmitted to the holding member 18 via the gears 16 and 17, and the reticle R is rotated. Here, when the image rotator prism 8 rotates by 90 degrees, the image in the observation visual field rotates by 180 degrees. At this time, if the reticle R does not rotate, it will rotate 180 degrees together with the observation image. In order for the index of the reticle R not to rotate even when the observation image rotates, the reticle R may be rotated by twice the rotation angle of the image rotator prism 8 with the rotation of the image rotator prism 8. Therefore, the gears 16a and 1
6b has the same gear pitch and twice the number of teeth. That is, the number of teeth of the gear 16a is twice the number of teeth of the gear 16b.

This modification is an example in which the reticle R is detachable from the microscope main body. The slider 20 holds the holding member 18 holding the reticle R rotatably in a plane perpendicular to the optical path. The microscope main body 100 is provided with a slider receiving portion 21 for sliding the slider 20 in a direction along the plane of FIG. By inserting the slider 20 along the groove provided in the slider receiving portion 21, the gear provided on a part of the holding member 18 meshes with the gear 17.

As described above, according to the present invention, even when the image of the sample is rotated in the observation visual field, the index of the reticle does not rotate and is maintained at a predetermined position in the observation visual field. Therefore, the observer can concentrate on the observation. In addition, while observing photographic data and the like drawn on the reticle together with the sample, the observation image can be rotated to determine an optimal composition at the time of photographing. In addition, in addition to the above-described effects, the present invention described in claim 3 moves the intermediate lens barrel between the microscope main body and the lens barrel only when a function of imprinting data and scale and rotating the image is required. It only needs to be attached, and functions can be easily added. Further, since the intermediate barrel can be attached to and detached from the microscope, maintenance of each optical member can be easily performed. Further, the inventions according to the second and fourth aspects are convenient because the reticle may be inserted only when data or scale is required to be printed during observation or photographing.
