Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a double pipe liquid, liquid one-pass type heat-exchanger for recovering waste heat which can be applied to buses where the merit of easy cleaning can be utilized. SOLUTION: A single unit comprises four headers 1, 2 and a double pipe 3, 4 heat-exchanging section. Inner wall of the inner pipe is cleaned by removing a cover 6 at one end of the header 1. The inner pipe can be drawn out from the cover 6 by loosening a screw union 5 and both inner and outer pipes can be cleaned. Each header 1, 2 is fixed with required number of double pipes 3, 4 depending on the flow rate and since the overall length of the heating tube is determined as one pass type, the units can be coupled in several rows.
