JP-A-219679 and JP-A-8-90900 are disclosed. However, in these recording sheets, the image is seen through, and the blending amount of the binder with respect to the inorganic filler is relatively small, less than 50% by weight, so that the ink absorbency is improved, but the coating film is brittle and the weather resistance is poor. And water resistance were insufficient.

As a result, the present inventors have found that an image concealing layer is laminated on the back surface via an adhesive layer, and that an inorganic filler is contained in the ink absorbing layer. It has been found that an ink jet recording sheet having excellent image concealing properties and coating strength can be obtained by increasing the amount of the binder relative to the conventional one.

The amount of the binder is 50 to 200 parts by weight, preferably 80 to 150 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of the inorganic filler. If the amount is less than 50 parts by weight, the coating film becomes brittle, and if it exceeds 200 parts by weight, the ink absorbability is undesirably impaired.

The amount of the binder is generally 20 to 200 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the inorganic filler,
Preferably it is 50 to 100 parts by weight. By using a larger amount, an ink jet recording sheet having a good balance between ink absorbency and coating film strength can be obtained. The obtained inkjet recording sheet was printed with a color test pattern using an inkjet printer IO-735X manufactured by Sharp Corporation, and various characteristics were evaluated according to the following criteria.

外広告物の用途に広く使用することができる。By laminating an image concealing layer on the back surface of the fiber base material via an adhesive layer, it is possible to prevent the image from being transparent, and the amount of the binder relative to the inorganic filler in the ink absorbing layer. By increasing the amount of the above, a sheet for ink jet recording with improved coating film strength can be obtained. Since the obtained ink jet recording sheet has excellent weather resistance and water resistance, it can be widely used particularly for outdoor advertising.
