When an upward force is applied to the wrist portion 5 due to some abnormality, for example, when the robot collides with something, an excessive compressive force is applied to the first link 6 and the third link 8 and the first link 6 There has been a problem that the link 6 and the second link 8 buckle and deform or break. On the other hand, if the cross-sectional area of the first link 6 and the second link 8 is increased to improve the buckling strength,
There was also a problem that inconvenience was caused in terms of an increase in weight and an increase in the load on the drive unit. Therefore, the present invention detects the compression load when the link of the articulated robot receives an excessive compression load due to an abnormal external force, stops the operation of the articulated robot, and prevents the deformation and breakage of the link. It is an object of the present invention to provide a buckling prevention mechanism.

No displacement with respect to. That is, the length of the buckling prevention mechanism 20 does not change. The detector 24 is pressed by the shaft 22. Conversely, when the buckling prevention mechanism 20 receives a compressive load, for a compressive load smaller than the reaction force of the elastic body 23,
The shaft 22 does not move with respect to the case 21. When a compression force greater than the reaction force of the elastic body 21 is applied, the shaft 22
Compresses the elastic body 23 and moves to the right in the figure, and moves away from the detector 24. Thus, the detector 24 detects the movement of the shaft 22. As described above, the buckling prevention mechanism 20 does not change with respect to the tensile load or the compressive load smaller than the predetermined value. When the compressive load larger than the predetermined value is received, the shaft 22 moves, and the detector 24 detects this. Have the ability to Therefore, if the buckling prevention mechanism 20 is incorporated into a mechanical element to receive a load, an electric signal is sent to a control unit of the machine when the compressive load is received to stop the operation of the machine, and the mechanical load of the mechanical element due to the compressive load is reduced. Deformation damage can be prevented. Further, the buckling prevention mechanism 20 has a small number of components and is a simple mechanism, and thus has high reliability. The material and shape of the elastic body 23 are not limited as long as the predetermined performance is obtained. . The detector 24 is the case 2 of the shaft 22.
Other devices may be used as long as they can detect the displacement with respect to 1. The position where the detector 24 is attached may be any other position as long as the position where the displacement of the shaft 22 with respect to the case 21 can be detected.

Since the basic configuration is the same as that of the articulated robot described in the related art, different parts will be described. In the figure, 3
Reference numeral 0 denotes an articulated robot with a buckling prevention mechanism mainly used for stacking articles. The first link 6 includes an upper link 6U, a buckling prevention mechanism 20, and a lower link 6L. That is, the upper link 6U is connected to the case 21 and the lower link 6L is connected to the shaft 22. Buckling prevention mechanism 2
The detector 0 (not shown) is connected to a control device (not shown) of the articulated robot 30 with a buckling prevention mechanism. Since the articulated robot 30 with a buckling prevention mechanism is a robot for stacking articles, the weight of the article is often added to the wrist 5 downward. Therefore, the first link 6
In many cases, a tensile load is applied to the third link 8. However, in the case of an abnormality, for example, when another object is already located at the position where the article is to be placed, the articulated robot 30 with the buckling prevention mechanism presses the article against the object in order to place the article at a predetermined height. Works like this. At this time,
Since the wrist 5 receives an upward reaction force from the object, a compressive load is applied to the first link 6 and the third link 8.
When a compressive load is applied to the first link 6, the buckling prevention mechanism 2
0 operates to transmit an electric signal to the control device of the articulated robot 30 with the buckling prevention mechanism, and stops the operation of the articulated robot 30 with the buckling prevention mechanism. Thus the first
No large compressive load is applied to the link 6 and the third link 8 even when abnormal. When excessive compression force is not applied,
Since the outer shape of the buckling prevention mechanism 20 does not change, the length of the first link 6 does not change, so that the position and posture of the wrist 5 do not change. Therefore, the buckling prevention mechanism 20 does not impair the accuracy of the articulated robot 30 with the buckling prevention mechanism. In addition,
The buckling prevention mechanism 20 may be attached to the third link 8.

Further, the present invention can be applied regardless of whether the robot is an articulated robot provided with one set of parallel link mechanisms or an articulated robot provided with a plurality of sets of parallel link mechanisms. The link of the articulated robot with the parallel link mechanism to which the buckling prevention mechanism of the present invention is attached may be any link as long as it is necessary to prevent damage due to excessive compressive force. Further, the buckling prevention mechanism of the present invention can be attached to a machine or a structure other than a robot.
