表4にみられるように、本発明の合金組成の限界および条件式を外れるものは、強度、成形性、あるいは耐食性が劣っている。合金材No.5は、Si、Mg、Cuの合計量が4 を越えるため、耐食性がわるい。合金材No.6はSi、Mg、Cuの合計量が3 未満のため強度が低い。合金材No.7は、MgとSiの関係式を満足しないため、また合金材No.8〜9 はMgとCuとの関係式を満足しないため耐食性が劣る。試験材No.11 はCr量が少なく、合金材No.10 はMn量が限界値を越え、試験材No.12 はZnを多く含有するため、いずれも耐食性が劣っている。
