ユッカシディゲラの原末を5倍量の90%エタノ−ルに
浸漬し、前記と同様にして蒸発残分30〜40重量%の
濃縮液を得、この濃縮液を前記と同様のカラムを用い
て、水、30%エタノ−ル、80%エタノ−ルで順次展
開し分画し、得られた80%エタノ−ル抽出液から前記
と同様にして褐色粉末を得た。この粉末の主成分はサポ
ニン、フラボン及びレスベラトロ−ルであった。この3
成分の重量比は、順次、35:4:1であった。従っ
て、この3成分を含むようなエタノール抽出液(好まし
くは40〜90%エタノール、更に好ましくは70〜9
0%エタノール)を用いても、上記メタノール抽出液を
使用した場合と同様の作用及び効果を得ることができ
る。更に、この抽出溶媒としては、n−プロパノ−ル、
iso−プロパノ−ルを用いてもよい。ユッカ原末の抽
出温度は常温乃至溶媒還流温度でよい。不溶分を濾別し
分取した溶液を加熱し、アルコ−ルを留去して得られる
濃縮液の成分濃度は30〜60重量%でよい。糖成分を
抽出する混合溶媒の混合比率はアルコ−ル40%未満で
よい。この濃縮液の乾燥方法は、真空乾燥でもよいし、
凍結乾燥でもよい。
