Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.磁気抵抗センサにおいて、 第1厚さを有する活動領域と、 その第1厚さより小さい第2厚さを有する第1下層領域と を備える磁気抵抗層、および、 前記第1下層領域の上に形成される第1永久磁石、 を備える磁気抵抗センサ。 2.前記第1永久磁石がコバルト白金から作られる、請求の範囲第1項の磁気 抵抗センサ。 3.前記第1永久磁石が前記活動領域より高い抵抗を有し、そして該磁抵抗セ ンサがさらに 前記活動区域に電気結合される第1および第2電流コンタクト を備える、請求の範囲第1項の磁気抵抗センサ。 4.前記磁気抵抗層がさらに 前記第2厚さを有する第2下層領域、および、 該第2下層領域の上に形成される第2永久磁石、 を備える、請求の範囲第1項の磁気抵抗センサ。 5.前記第1永久磁石が前記第1下層領域に交換結合され、そして前記第1永 久磁石が前記活動領域に強力バイアス掛けをする、請求の範囲第1項の磁気抵抗 センサ。 6.磁気抵抗センサを形成する方法において、 基板層に第1厚さを有する磁気抵抗層を付着させること、 該磁気抵抗層に第1フォトレジストで活動領域と第1下層領域を画成するパタ ーンを付けること、 該第1下層領域が前記第1厚さより小さい第2厚さを有するようになるまでそ の第1下層領域から前記磁気抵抗層の一部分を除去すること、 前記磁気抵抗層の第1下層領域の上に永久磁石材料を付着させること、 前記磁気抵抗層と永久磁石材料に第2フォトレジストで電流コンタクトを画成 するパターンを付けること、 電気伝導性コンタクト材料を付着させること、および、 前記第2フォトレジスト層を除去すること の諸段階を備える方法。 7.前記永久磁石材料がコバルト白金で構成される、請求の範囲第6項の方法 。 8.前記永久磁石材料が前記磁気抵抗層より高い抵抗を有する、請求の範囲第 6項の方法。 9.前記磁気抵抗層の第1下層領域の上に永久磁石材料を付着させる段階が前 記磁気抵抗層の活動領域の上に永久磁石材料を付着させることも含み、そして前 記方法がさらに 前記第1フォトレジスト層を除去し、これによってその第1フォトレジスト層 に支持された前記永久磁石材料を破断し除去する段階 を備える、請求の範囲第6項の方法。 10.磁気抵抗センサにおいて、 第1厚さより小さい第2厚さを有する少なくとも1つの不活動領域により囲わ れる前記第1厚さを有する活動領域を備える磁気抵抗層、および、 前記不活動領域に交換結合され、そして前記活動領域に強力バイアス掛けをし て単一磁区状態にする永久磁石 を備える磁気抵抗センサ。
