キを施したものやステンレス等などの適当な金属棒を利
用できる。なおセラミクス、強化プラスチック等も希望
する形状に成形できるから利用することができる。支持
軸芯1は軸12とこれより大きい径のケーシング(逆円
錐台)頭11を備えている。宝石または類似物3には前
記支持軸芯1を受け入れる浅い孔がダイアモンドポイン
トにより穿設されている。この円錐状の孔の底部と内壁
面は滑らかに仕上げられる必要はなく積極的に粗面であ
